4; Silence
• • • •I'm here for you.
Jimin sat on his bed cross-legged, hugging his pillow as he leaned against the wall and stared at nothing.
He hadn't left the room for three days, only leaving to go to the bathroom connected to his room. Hoseok brought him food, trying his hardest to get him to leave the house.
But it's impossible when you're as broken as glass that can never be mended together.
Crumbling.
If he was to tear into nothing, he might as well be gone now. No one needed him anyways.
Hoseok was too busy with his own things and Jungkook didn't talk to him now a days. Yoongi? Forget about it, he didn't want to see the younger, he seemed like he didn't even want to hear his name.
No one would miss him, he was already a lost cause anyway.
From the inside out.
It consumed him, even if it was only one spot, it felt like he was being devoured, destroyed little by little.
Maybe he should listen to Hoseok, maybe he should go somewhere and not be enveloped by the silence and darkness around him.
Even so, the silence eats away at me
It was deafening, everything. Whether it made noise or not, everything hurt him.
Suddenly the sound of the front door could be heard, the click of it locking shut and shoes falling to the floor resonated throughout the small house. Jimin could hear light footsteps come towards his room, the soft click of his door handle and the creak of it opening.
"Jiminie? Are you awake?"
A strangled noise was all the small brunet could make, his voice seemed lost at the lack of speaking, only making whines of pain and whispering small 'thank yous' at the older male.
"I got you something."
Hoseok opened the door, walking into the room after closing the door shut behind him. He pulled out a book from behind his back and handed it to Jimin who took it with gentle hands, as if the book would turn to dust with a single touch.
"Since you like books, I decided to get you one. I liked the first five pages so I thought why not? It could help to distract you from the real world."
Jimin stared at the bright smile in front of him, not really focusing on anything besides the pain that traveled from his chest to the rest of his body.
And I scream.
"Are you okay Jiminie?" Hoseok looked at Jimin's eyes, trying his hardest to read the expressions.
"Y-yeah I'm fine." Jimin croaked out weakly, trying his hardest to smile through the pain.
"No you're not." Hoseok looked at the way Jimin curled his hand on the book, noticing the heavy and uneven breathing as the pain became almost unbearable.
Eventually falling apart.
Jimin shakily sighed, a tear falling down his cheek and onto the mattress under him. Hoseok stood up and walked to the nightstand where a bottle of pills were located. After handing them over to Jimin, he looked for a water bottle in the room, pulling a fresh one out of a packet in the corner of the room.
Hoseok watched as Jimin took two pills, swallowing them whole as he drank the water eagerly, the book laid forgotten on the bed.
"T-thank y-ou." Jimin croaked out again, setting the closed water bottle on the mattress.
Hoseok sighed, running a hand through his hair as he looked at the floor with a troubled look. Jimin stared at the mattress, guilt spreading throughout his body as more tears fell.
It really wouldn't matter if he was gone, would it? Nobody wants him around, and the only person that takes care of him is now troubled by his pain, burdened.
"S-s-orry."
Hoseok looked up to see Jimin crying, shaking as he curled himself into a ball to seem smaller.
His heart broke, shattered into pieces at the sight of Jimin's mask dissolving, showing the younger's true pain. Hugging him was all he wanted to do, tell him that he shouldn't feel sorry, that he'll be there even if no one else was.
Please.
"Jiminie," He whispered softly, reaching out to the weeping boy.
He laced his fingers into the silky brown hair, sitting on the edge of the bed, and pulled the younger into a light embrace. Stroking the soft hair out of Jimin's face, Hoseok started humming a soft tune and felt the younger relax into the embrace.
Take it all away.
"Don't say sorry, I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you because your special to me. I'll never leave you alone."
Hoseok wiped away the tears that started falling down Jimin's cheek, kissing the soft hair under him and tightening his embrace.
"Thank you."
So silence envelops us in peace.
