"So you'll just let nature take it's toll on you?"

Another three days passed after Jimin broke down in front of Hoseok. The two spent their time in an open field where they would lay down and talk about little things. Jimin felt closer to the older male, and he wished the two could do this forever.

But forever never waits.

Hoseok was sprawled out on the grass, Jimin was next to him, resting his head on the older males arm. Jimin was curled up next to Hoseok, arms holding the older males torso gently, but tightly. Hoseok noticed the younger did this more often, but he didn't mind at all, instead he held the younger closer.

If you disappear.

"Well, there's nothing I can do. Nature won't wait and time won't stop for me to figure something out. We don't hold forever in our hands."

I don't know what I'd do.

Jimin closed his eyes, fisting Hoseok's white shirt as he tightened his hold on the older male. He didn't know when it happened, but he never wanted the older male to leave him, the last person to keep him intact to the world around him.

"But don't you think we hold it in our hearts?" Hoseok whispered, looking down to see the younger shrug.

Please don't go.

"I wouldn't know, but I think we hold it in our souls."

"Elaborate on that."

"We won't be in the world for very long, we die and our body disintegrates in a wooden box. In short, we become nothing." Jimin opened his eyes and repositioned himself to rest his head on the chest next to him.

Just stay here forever.

"We don't hold forever in our hands, but our soul does. When we die, the only thing left is our soul. Our soul holds who we are, and that can never perish. Even if not many remember us, it'll be whispered in the wind."

He looked at me.

Hoseok nodded, understanding Jimin's view of forever as he stroked the soft hair. Brown eyes looked up at him, studying every feature, admiring the perfection that was Hoseok.

Those hazel eyes, soft and gentle.

"Hoseok."

Maybe through the small talk, the soft touches and gentle smiles, maybe, even if just a little bit, Jimin fell again.

"Hmm."

Hoseok looked down to see the piercing stare of the younger.

"Will you spend forever by my side?"

Hoseok wrapped his arms around the younger, still playing with the feathery hair, and pecked Jimin on his forehead.

Holding me carefully with light touches on my skin.

"I'd love to."

Jimin smiled, he smiled so wide it hurt and Hoseok was happy to finally see the younger happy.

He held me like a treasure.

"Thank you."

He fell so hard he never remembered that love was painful, that maybe one day one of them would get hurt.

Like the rarest of gems

Hoseok let out a chuckle and pulled Jimin down, rolling to his side so that he faced the younger that was now next to him. He brushed back the soft hair to see the small brown orbs he loved, pecking the exposed forehead again.

"I love you Jiminie, more than you think I do."

"I know." The younger smiled. "I think I love you too."

But the feeling of love, so simple yet complex, made Jimin fuzzy inside, happy with the outcome.

As if with one rough touch.

The older smiled, hugging Jimin closer to him, tightly but gently, afraid to break the younger.

I'd shatter.

"I love you... So much that I don't mind spending forever with you."

Perish

Jimin lightly pushed away, scooting up to look at Hoseok straight in the eyes. Leaning closer the younger smiled sweetly, the first time since he got out of the house.

Maybe love wasn't as complex as he made it out to be.

"I love you too Hoseok, so much that I don't care if forever waits just for us."

Jimin leaned closer to Hoseok, a hand cupped his right cheek and pulled him closer, eyes staring lovingly at his own hazel ones. Jimin felt soft lips meet his own in a gentle, love filled kiss, one he treasured with all of his broken heart.

Maybe forever did wait.
