Honk.

Snow fell around me as I tightened my jacket and walked quickly to the truck, my feet feeling damp. HONK HONK! I've gotten used to all the guys honking at me everyday when I walk by. I used to give them a lazy smile, but lately I've just been ignoring it.

I passed in between Dustin and Luke's truck, and I'm disappointed when I see Jared blocking my way through. I never looked up to see his face, but I recognized the orange fox snowmobile jacket, and his pleasant aroma. Any other day I'd be happy to see him, and I'd smile at him before playfully nudging him out of my way. Not after the what he did to me yesterday.

I could help but feel vulnerable as I tried to move around him but he moved over. It was then that I decided to look up, and take in his features dangerously close to mine. His blue eyes were always my weak point. I gave him a pitiful smile before squeezing through him and getting into my brothers truck.

David was putting some clutch fluid in his truck while his girlfriend, Perrie was sitting in the middle as I wiggled next to her.

"I swear, he needs a new truck so freaking bad. He has to put fluid in it almost twice a day." I grumbled checking my phone for any new messages from Hanna.

"Yeah, he's gonna fix it on Holiday Vacation though." Perrie and David recently just began dating, and it can get a little weird for me. It seems as though David only dates girls in my grade, and by dating recently, I mean RECENTLY. I think it's actually only been 3 days. It ticks be off that they have already been exchanging 'I love yous'. I've always hated it when couples do that in such a short amount of time. We throw that word around carelessly too much it seems.

"Can you move your ass?" Parker asks as he opens the truck door. Parker was 18, but sadly we've been having to give him a ride home for the past 2 weeks because his crappy GMC broke down. Somehow, we managed to fit the 4 of us on David's tiny bench seat without managing to look like a clown car. As crammed as it was, I was sadly used to it. Yesterday we fit David, Perrie, Parker, his girl Kylie, and I in that truck while the preppy football jocks threw snowballs at us in the school parking lot. It started out as one of our boys throwing a snowball at them, and war started from there, and  it was an 2 hour long battle. It was ironic that one of the throwers was Hanna's older brother, Hugh.

I cut to the conclusion that Parker was most likely high as he rolled down the window, hooting and hollering at any car that passed. I'm pretty sure being seen with him at that moment put my spot on the social spectrum down a couple notches. I even earned a couple glares from people that I once called friends. After hitting a couple curbs and almost dying twice, we dropped Parker off at his grandparents, and Perrie off at the local club to spend time with Kylie and we finally headed home.

I always liked driving just my brother and I because we never talked. It was just soothing silence and that's the way I liked it. The sound of the radio barely audible as we listened to some sad country song, and the trees whizzing by so fast they blended in with the sky. These were the moments I forever cherish.
