"Shut up and f.ucking spin the bottle!" Vivian and Jess were going back and forth.

"I'm not going" she gave a pout, crossing her arms over her chest
"make her go." Nodding over towards me.

"Don't tell me what to do." I grumbled in annoyance. I didn't even ask to be at this party. No, I wasn't forcibly dragged here by my hair. No, no one had threatened a curse on my first born child if I indeed didn't attend this party. But by social standards, I had to go, and if you knew my friends, you'd understand why.

"I have a game we can play.." Ryan spoke with an evident smirk spreading across his thin lips.

"I swear to god if it's 7 minutes in heaven." Asia rolled her eyes and applied another unneeded coat of lip gloss.

"No. But I wouldn't mind if that's what you're suggesting" he continued as she fake gaged "Later princess. But no, let's play hide and seek!" I looked up. Hide and seek? Really? Was I seven years old?

"Outside. We have a campfire. The weather is nice. Come on guys!" He kept pushing this idea.

"And what does the winner get?" Jasmine popped her blush colored bubble gum.

"The satisfaction of beating everyone?" Ryan stood up and pulled his wallet out of his baggy, dark wash blue jeans. "And also, this 20." A little money is all it took for everyone to suddenly be interested in the game.

Zander was the first to jump up and head to the door. "Alright. What are we waiting for then?" A few of us shrugged and we all followed after him. Ryan, being the one who suggested the game, started the fire in the pit. I had to admit, it looked beautiful. A nice glowing campfire to keep us warm, and to also shed a bit of light.

Everyone was ready. The rules had been stated. The person to be 'it' had been chosen. Now, all I had to do was run. Run and hide. Easy.

"Okay.. go!" I heard the enthusiastic voice of the seeker, while us hiders found our perspective hiding places. Really, the possibilities were endless, yet limited. We were outside and the woods surrounded our cabin. I had to get as creative as could be. My eyes scanned past trees, tons of trees as I ran. I briefly looked back to see if anyone had been following me.

A pair of hands covered my eyes and I shrieked in response. Soon, both hands left my eyes and one flew to my mouth, muffling my now quiet shrills as I notice it's one of my closest friends.

"Relax, shhh. You wanna get us caught and out of the game?" she giggled after I had moved her hand and caught my breath.

"You just can't pull shit like that!" I yelled at her in a hushed tone. It was contradicting the smile that threatened to spread across my face "you butt head".

"Yeah yeah. Love you too, butt head" she giggled once more before backing further into her hiding spot "come on." The offer was nice, but I declined, seeing as we'd both probably get caught if we were together. Too much giggling and inside jokes to stay quiet.
"I'm good. I'm finding a good, secluded space. Love you lots though." I started walking backwards slowly, and waving. She waved back and I turned around to continue my journey of hiding.

I stumbled upon an area with more trees surrounding it than previous potential hiding spaces. Perfect. I had found the perfect spot where no one could find me. Or so I thought.

Minutes passed and I was seated on the dirt below me, trying to blend in with my leafy surroundings. As before, a pair of hands covered my eyes and I chuckled. "Okay Mia, that's enough. I literally almost punched you last time." A heard a quiet "mm", as if telling me I had it wrong.

"Um, okay. I guess that means I'm caught?" I giggled and tried to sit up "I really thought I had a good hiding spot, Zee."

Confusion washed over me as I heard a familiar voice call out in the distance "Got ya!" It was Zander, and if Zander was it then..

"Mia. Stop playing." My voice had begin to shake. She was always playing too much, but as I heard her squeal far beyond my reach, I knew this was not her.

My throat ran dry and my lips parted in preparation to scream. It first came out as a small screech, delving deeper into a full out cry for help.

One hand flew straight to my mouth, as before. Though this time it wasn't by closest friend playing around. I could tell this wasn't fun and games. The other hand securely held me by my waist. My mumbled screams were pleading. Begging.

"Got you!" I heard Zander again in the distance again. Why couldn't he have just found me and bam, game over for me? Why didn't I just hide with Mia? Who the f.uck was this holding me? My body was being moved involuntarily by whomever had been grabbing me while I thrashed around.

They seemed to get tired of my fighting as they stopped. This was my chance. I bit into their hand and they let go, cursing out in pain. This, this was my chance. So I went for it. I ran. I ran fast. My lungs were out of breath, but I felt the cabins being near. I screamed after Mia. I screamed out for Ryan. Anybody. Anyone I could think of. Yet, it had seemed no one was in sight. My body was giving up and I couldn't think of anything else but to run until I physically cannot, and that's exactly what I did.

Everything was slow, and the trees seemed to grow taller as I went down.

God dammit.

I saw a face appear high above mine before they crouched down and grabbed at my arm.

"Got ya."
