The thunder of hooves echoed through out the forest. The females in the den stuck their heads out fearfully.I assured them everything was okay. Running to the edges of the forest, I searched for my lost pack members. The beings were in the clearing, hunched over their kill.

Their sticks lay a few lengths away. I watched these peculiar beings, taking turns eating. While one crouched the other produced a light from its arms. They weren't eating this kill! They were playing with it!
Enraged, I ran away from this place. Smelling a familiar scent, I started to run faster. A distance away from the tree line was our kill. Running past it, the smell of my pack grew stronger and stronger.
I soon found them, huddled under a large tree. A twig snapped underneath my paws and I received a growl. Jogging up to them I was welcomed with yips and kisses to the jaw.

The beings had left, but their stench was everywhere. I felt like something was following me. I looked around but saw nothing. I distanced myself from my pack and took a different route home, still the feeling was there. I saw the den, and everyone there.

A sharp pain shot through my body bringing me down. A cry pried itself from my throat, but it was unfamiliar. pain, pain, pain! So much pain on me. it consumed me.
