stuck with you ch 16

Sunday july 24th

Teddi and I are at red Lobster waiting for the rest of her family to arrive, we opted out of going to church. She just got the text they are on thier way so we go sit down at our reserved tables.

" Ray Im so nervous." Teddi states fiddling with her hands.

I grab her hand and smile at her." Teddi baby its your family."

" I know but we have never gotten along."

" We got threw the barbque fine and what family gets along? Mine sure doesn't I know you can feel the tension in my house, you can cut it with a knife."

" Its not time for jokes."

" Im not jokeing."

" Dont you think this is a little fast? I mean last week i barly talked to my family and now we are all buddys and shit."

" A little fast? Teddi your suppose to be close to your family."

" Omg they are comming.......................they brought more!"

I look over at the door and her dad and brothers are standing there plus grandma and Cindy and Tonnie. Then there is Two men that apparently we both have never seen.

" The hell?"

" This isn't going to go well." She frowns shaking her head. 

" What why?"

" Oh you will see." she chuckles.

The whole gang comes over and we all greet each other and sit down.

" This is Kenny, Kenny Teddi.Kenny why dont you go sit by my granddaughter Teddi. And this young man is Vinny, why dont you go sit by her too." Grandma suggests.

" Grandma im good you see that Ray is sitting beside me."

" Oh Im sorry dear, I didnt see you there. I didn't kow you were coming, how are you." 

" Im good thanks."

" Well Vinny go sit by Ray dear."

" No I want to sit by Ray!" Tonnie pouts.

" Okay Tonnie you can sit right next to me." I smile patting the seat.

She races over and hops into the chair before anyone can protest.

" Well Kenny and Vinny are activie memeber of the church and they have very good jobs." Grandma smiles.

Oh no she isn't.........wait is she? I look over to Teddi and she is giveing me this weird look. Great she is , her grandma is trying to set us up. Teddi and Tonnie grab my hand at the same excat time. We order our food and just sit and have light conversations. After a while our food gets here.....yum!Kenny is mad hitting on my girl, I dont like it.

" So Teddi Im wondering why you don't have a boyfriend?" I hear Kenny ask her, i think everyone heard him.

" So what have you been up too Teddi?" Ton asks loudly.

" You know eat,shit,sleep."

" Teddi!" Tom warns.

" Oh yeah I forgot work and you know some other activities." she winks at me.

Ton thinks this is fucking hilarious and spits out his soda all over the place and starts laughing which makes Tod and Timmy laugh. Which then makes Tonnie laughs and soda comes out her nose which makes Ted and Cindy laugh then finally the rest of them well until Kenny ruins it.

" So seriously Teddi why are you singel."

" Im not singel."

" You just said you were not dating anybody."

" I didn't say that."

" Yes you did I asked you if you had a man in your life."

" I don't."

" So?" he questions.

" Damn dude Im not intrested in men!"

" Sorry." he says meekily.

" Teddi not this again." Grandma frowns.

" Yes this again grandma, Im gay I dont want to argue about it."

" Your not gay, eat your food before it gets cold."

" Im gay."

" No your not darling."

" Grandma she is gay!" Timmy states.

"  No she is not!" she slams her glass on the table and everyone becomes silent. 

We all go back to eating our food.

" I think its time to go to the cemetary." Tom states." Ive got the check no arguments."

" Thanks." we all mumble.

" Daddy can I ride with Teddi." Tonnie begs.

Ted looks at us and we nod yes." Sure, make sure moma gives them the car seat." 

" Come on ladies, Ill go grab it real quick." Cindy smiles.

We follow her to their car and she grabs the car seat and teaches us how to insert. Everyone gets in there seprate cars and head to the cementary. It was about ten minutes to it, no one argured at the cemntary. Everyone said there words and everyone cried. Tons of floweres were laid on Alesha's grave, you could feel how much the family loved her. After all the tears were dried up and we made plans to take Tonnie next weekend we left. Teddi can't stop crying, her moms death still brings so much paing I can tell. I want to make her feel better but I can't the only thing I can do is be her for her.
