Summary:  two extras have to sit across from each other and pretend to converse at a restaurant on the set of a movie. but the fake conversation turns to real conversation and they are really into each other and the director calls cut because they are distracting from the actual characters who are supposed to be the ones making eyes and looking like they're falling in love, not a couple of random extras. Phil wouldn't consider himself someone who liked attention.
He was the exact definition of an introvert; he had one close friend, rarely spoke his mind, and avoided social situations at all costs.
This is why he doesn't understand why he let his best friend, his only friend, talk him into being an extra in his new movie.
Phil arrived at the rented out restaurant almost forty-five minutes late due to his indecisiveness of whether to come or not.
PJ perked up as soon as the cheap bell over the door rung, announcing his arrival.
"Phil! You made it!"
The boy nodded shyly, eyes darting around the room anxiously.
PJ smiled fondly. "I thought you weren't going to show for a bit there! This means a lot to me. Just erm... Go sit by that guy. Over there."
He pointed to a brown-haired boy that was sat at a table in fairly close proximity to the main one.
"Okay." Phil said, rushing towards the table so PJ wouldn't loose any more filming time.
The director cleared his throat. "What I need you all to do is just talk to eachother. Make it look like you're actually at a restaurant while we get the date scene done."
All the extras, including Phil, nodded in understanding.
The two main actors sat at the main table almost directly to the left of Phil.
"Lights... Camera... POPCORN!"
PJ's remark brought a genuine smile to the lead actress's face as they began their dialogue.
"So... Looks like we have to talk," the boy across from Phil said. "I'm Dan."
"Phil." He responded, smiling lightly.

"There is NO WAY a squirrel actually attacked you!"
They both giggled loudly, cheeks bright red from laughter.
"No I really did! I attract the weirdest creatures, it's like I'm in the X-files!" "Sounds like it!" Dan said, attempting to keep in his howl of laughter by covering his mouth.
It didn't work, as PJ called "Cut!" For the tenth time. "Phil, Dan, I love you both, but it's supposed to be Ashley and Chris making love eyes, not... Y'know, two people in the back."
That calmed both boys down right away, both of them going a different kind of red. "Oh n-no PJ it wasn't-" Dan tried to explain, but the boy cut his off with a dismissive wave and a knowing smile.
He started the scene again, this time with the pair tamed.
Phil started the conversation first. "You know, he wasn't joking... I kind of was making love eyes at you..."
"Oh I know." Dan replied with a smirk.
Phil looked confused. "Are you-"
"Gay? No. Bi? Yes."
"I'm gay."
Dan leaned forward. "That's nice to know."
Suddenly they were kissing; leaning over the table awkwardly, albeit desperately. Everyone groaned while PJ just laughed. "That's a wrap, guys."
