2. Savour

Third person

The mother ran towards the forest, just following her only instinct to save this child that she had created. People around her looked at her strangely and then continued on there day.

She ran into the forest and just wouldn't stop running. She didn't know where to go or where the father would be but she just had to run. She started crying just thinking about what might happen to think unnamed child if she didn't continue running.

She tripped over a root sticking out of the ground, she had a look at her adorable baby boy to see if he was alright. She was surprised about how much the child had already grown. She knew there was a legend that the child grows up quickly but she thought it was just a plan old legend.

She heard howls and growls all around her, she was in shock that she couldn't even stand up. A large black wolf slowly stepped in front of her.

I slowly creeped up to the woman with the child, she was a crying mess and she held the child close to her protectively. The rest of my pack continued surrounding her. "Please... I need to save him" she said as I came up closer to her.

My pack growled getting closer to her ready to pounce and kill her. I quickly growled for them to get back and they obeyed stepping two steps back from the woman and the child. I changed back into my human form bending down having a proper look at the child. The rest of my pack changed into human form as well.

"Sir please can we just eat her I'm hungry" "the child looks more delicious" "please don't tell me your going to help her"

I picked up the child who looked now about three, his white hair was all messy and his bright blue eyes stared at me curiously. "Stand and follow" I said holding the child and walking away from her. The pack growled at her and she quickly stood up collapsing to the ground straight away. "Your hurt" I mumbled turning around. "Alex Carry her" I ordered continuing to walk. "Ah, thank you" she mumbled as Alex lifted her up. "Don't thank me" I said harshly walking to my house luckily it wasn't small but it wasn't really that big, everything was all in one room, except for the bathroom of course. I just never really had many guests stay over.

I walked in placing the child on my bed. "As soon as your healed your leaving with Alex to go where ever your meant to be" I said getting a bandage and putting it around her leg. "There is another bed there" I mumbled. "Everyone else leave you can go hunting for meat and any people bring them here" I ordered to the pack. They nodded changing into there wolf form and running off.

"Are you going to put some clothes on?" She asked blushing. "Forgot" I said grabbing some clothes and quickly putting them on.

"What's your name?" I asked getting a blanket for the child. "Lucy" she mumbled going over to the bed, "his name?" I said putting a blanket around the child who now looked about five. "I haven't decided yet" she said laying down. "Ethan Yuuki" I smiled. "Sleep. I'll cook dinner, suggestions?" I asked going into my kitchen. "Any" she mumbled. "I eat animals. So I suggest you think of what you want" I said sounding harsh. "Fried rice" she said quickly and turning facing the wall.

I got out some rice and started cooking. "Me help!" Ethan said running up to me. "You grow up fast" I said lifting him up, surprisingly he now looked nine.

"Can you set the table" I said handing him some plates and forks. He nodded running over and setting the table. "What's your name sir?" He asked me jumping onto the bed. "Chance" I smiled finishing cooking the fried rice and serving it out on the plates. "I like the name Chance" He said sitting down. With out me realising, he now looked eleven.

Lucy sat up and the table, "thank you for all this" she smiled and took a bite. "Don't thank me" I mumbled taking a bite. "This is delicious" she smiled shocked. "Sir we have got food" The pack said walking back into the house bringing in a dead animal. "Wow is that your special fried rice. Can we have some? Please" They begged looking at me. I nodded and they grabbed a plate, and stood around the house eating.

"Did you know he only cooks food this good if it's a special occasion. And your the first human he has saved, so I guess your special... Well to Chance obviously the rest of us would happily eat you alive" one of my pack members, Zoe spoke without thinking. Lucy shifted the chair obviously feeling uncomfortable. "Don't feel threatened as long as I'm here your safe, and if they lay a finger on you there hand will get ripped off" I smiled, Zoe went back to eating the fried rice quickly.

"Why did you save me?" Lucy asked. "You were the first one that didn't offer there child to save them selves. So I wanted to see what was so important about saving Ethan, and well I saw how cute he was and decided I would save him" I mumbled after I had finished eating. "Ethan?" A lot of people said at the same time. "Yes that's his name now. Problem?" I asked looking around a lot of people shook there head no.

"So what age do cat things stop growing rapidly?" Alex asked putting his and my plate in the sink, "fifteen" I mumbled, looking at him who now looked about fifteen. "Cute" Zoe said rubbing his head.

"It's become dusk so go sleep and meet back here tomorrow morning" I said walking over to the plates washing up. "Thank you for all your help" Ethan smiled looking at me. "Ah um Yeah no problem" I mumbled looking, at the ground.

"Can I go outside and look at the stars?" Ethan asked sounding excited. I was surprised he even knew there was such thing as stars. "Be safe if you hear a noise get back in side" I quickly answered sounding like an over protective parent. I went into the bathroom and ran a bath for Ethan, and walked out side to get him. Only to find him laying on the ground just watching the stars he kind of looked cute just staring at all the stars. "There's a bath so hurry up and get in" I mumbled walking back inside.

I walked over to Lucy who was already asleep on the bed I lent her. Ethan walked back inside yawning, "spare clothes" I said throwing a pair of clothes to him as he walked past going to the bathroom. He nodded walking into the bathroom. I laid down on my bed closing my eyes thinking about what has happened today.
