Thirteen days since we go that phone call from Hayes. Nash and I tried to tell my parents but they never believed us even when we cried about it. Nash has been really quiet because he's creeped out by the entire thing. Which I am too. Very creeped out. We haven't got a phone call since and Nash keeps sensing Hayes

I knock on Nash's open door as he's sitting on the end of his bed with his head looking down at his feet. I walk in slowly feeling like if the floor creeks I'll disturb his concentration on whatever he's thinking about. I sit down next to him which he noticed as the bed sunk down more. His head whipped up and his eyes were red and watery. I didn't know if he was crying or he was high. But I'm sure he was crying. "Do you really think he isn't dead?" he asked. I looked down at my feet copying Nash's earlier move and I spoke airily. "I don't know. I'm still getting over Cameron. Now I have a cousin that I don't remember isn't actually dead? We don't have proof yet that it is Cameron" I said. "It is. I'm sure of it. Why would he have a gun?" Nash asked me as if I was dumb and hadn't recognised anything. "I found something" Nash says as he stands up and walks over to his wooden desk. He opens one of the small draws on the side and takes out an envelope. Quickly he walks back over to sit down where he was before and hands me the envelope. I lift the flip thing. "Open it" Nash says controlling. "I am" I said back with attitude. I pulled out a letter that was folded and wrinkled like someone squished the paper and left it more squished in their pocket for three years. I started to unfold the paper and there was small hand writing. And to make it more confusing the words were misspelt. As if, if we wanted to read we would have to figure it our word by word.
"That's Hayes's hand writing. I found it next to my pillow when I work up this morning" Nash responds to my actions. "We should figure out what it says" I say as I walk over to Nash's desk and sit in his seat. I grab a pencil and start to figure out the first word. Nash is standing over my shoulder watching my every hand movement. Then I figure out the second letter, then the third. Soon enough I figure out the entire letter. Nash ended up falling back asleep in his bed.
I jump on Nash's bed and shake his shoulder "NASH WAKE UP. I FOUND OUT WHAT IT SAYS" I yell in his ear. Nash wakes up with the strength to push me off the bed. I stand up and sit back on the bed. Nash sits next to me. "I figured it out" I claim. "Read it out to me" Nash says as he lies back down and shuts his eyes. I stand up as if I'm about to do a presentation. And I begin to read the letter."Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for. I never came back because you had none of those things. I wanted you to have hope for something and the only way I could give you that was to disappear and also to find out if you cared about me. Now I know and I don't feel bad at all for leaving because for once I feel like you finally care. What sucks is that you only cared when you thought I was gone. Maybe you shouldn't be a prick to me next time and I won't leave" I finished the first paragraph with confusion. What was all this about? I looked at Nash and he's just starring at the roof. Nothing. Blank expression. "Nash? Were you mean to Hayes?" I asked. "Yes. I treated him like shit but I never knew I took it so far" Nash says with no emotion in his voice. "Is there more?' he asked curiously. I only answered with the rest of the letter.
"Life always offers you a second chance. Yours starts tomorrow" I had to stop because I didn't believe the rest of the letter. "Continue" Nash says harshly. I continue. "I suggest that if you want this second chance that you go to my grave stone and get the next letter and go on from there. The best is yet to come" I immediately look at Nash to see him smiling.
"He's giving me a scavenger hunt. And your joining me"
