Tip 8: Characters
Characters are often a tough thing to create. All characters are different. I bought a notebook and wrote down all the names I could think of. I started out by looking them up, making lists of unisex, female, male, first, last, middle, and even pet names (both couple wise and animals)!
Looking up the meaning of names can make your character more interesting. Giving a name that means 'happiness' to a character that's always happy can be fun. You can also give a miserable character a name that translates to 'happiness' simply for irony's sake.
Avoid the overused Wattpad names, like Logan and Jake. There are plenty more where that came from but it's easy to pick a familiar name. I challenge you to go out of your way and find names that are less known and more unique.
You want your names to flow. I'll give you a few lists of names and you pair them up to your liking and see what flows for you.

Now pair up the names.
You can always use alliteration when naming a character for a funnier name. For example: Allison Arielle Anderson. You'd probably imagine her as a happy-go-lucky, perky girl.
Two examples of a flowing name are: Danielle Elise Webber, Aaron Jay Henderson
Two examples of names that don't flow are: Jenner Norris, Hannah Anna.
You want your names to sound nice and fit the character, this process may take time but it pays off in the end.
