Susanna's Pov
(back at the first Christmas in the story, this was when Donald and Lynn met - Christmas 2014?)My best friend, Lynn, and I always day dreamed in high school that we would end up marrying brothers. It's my secret hope and prayer that sparks will fly when she and Donald meet today. Okay.... so yes. I admit it. I really... really... REALLY... like Joey. Maybe I'm falling for him. And maybe... just maybe I want him to be my forever love. That thought scares me just a little. But right now matchmaker Sus is activated and there is no turning back.
Joey and I are babbling in the back seat and Donald is grumbling in the driver's seat. "Ahh.... couples!" He practically growls.
"Don't be so quick to grumble, Mr. Donald Duck. You just might find your Daisy sooner than you think." I sent him a wink, as he glanced back in the rearview mirror.
The poor man looked so confused. He wasn't sure whether to fuss on me for the impromptu nick name or give me a thank you. So he just ignored me.
"We're here!" I said, pointing ahead at the upcoming restaurant. I spotted Lynn's red hair, her signature look, and couldn't help but bounce up and down in my seat.
I rubbed my hands together with glee, gaining a strange look from Joey. I just grinned goofily, and he rolled his eyes, hugging my shoulders tightly.
God, please, let this go well.
Donald's POV
Susanna is acting strange.... well... stranger than usual. She winked at me all randomly and is acting like she has something up her sleeve. I recognize it all to well. Why you may ask? Because my baby brother is notorious for that look and kind of actions. Those two are perfect for each other.
"Hey. There's Lynn." Susanna calls from the back seat and starts waving like a maniac.
I glance ahead at the restaurant and my eyes grow wide. I'm not entirely sure, but I think my heart just tripped over itself. I'm a dancer. No part of me ever trips. Well... unless my inner Stamper takes over. Anyways! Up ahead stands a beautiful red head. She's got a similar build to Susanna, but maybe just a bit taller by an inch or so. My mouth goes dry and I'm not sure how to talk anymore.
Lynn is wearing what looks like it would have been a super short plaid dress frilled out at the end, but she's wearing it as a top, with a pair of grey jeans and some combat boots. She's beautiful.
"This is Lynn Reese. Lynn, this is Joey and Donald Stamper." Susanna says, smirking. Wait... now I get what she was thinking. And maybe I don't mind. Lynn shakes our hands and rewards us with a smile. She chatters with her friend, and soon Joey and I are on the road again. I still haven't spoke and Joey notices. He's giving me a look, and I guess what's coming. Honestly, I don't really care. All I can think about is getting to meet her again and maybe, if God blessed it, start a relationship. Woah. I have no idea where that thought came from.
