Hey guys! This chapter is dedicated to my online twin @its_urqueen . Ari, this is to celebrate that you're out of school until Jan! I love you kiddo!
Now, let's stop this mush and get on with the story, shall we?
Dinner at Granny's went smooth. They had laughed, they had shared memories, everything was perfect. After Robin insisted that he'd pay, the got up and walked back to the white manor. The walk back home was mostly silent since they were tired after eating and laughing. They got to the 108 Mifflin St. quickly and went inside. Regina smiled at the prospect of being home with her family. She and Robin tucked their children in and kissed them goodnight before going to their bedroom.
Robin opened the door to the master bedroom allowing Regina to go inside. She giggled and walked inside, Robin right after her. Regina sat on the edge of the bed knowing that she had to tell her outlaw about what had happened that day. The man sat next to her and held her hand, he knew that they had to talk about her going to Mr. Gold's, he and the children had been worried for her and when she insisted on telling him after dinner, he became even more worried.
"I don't know where to start" came Regina's voice.
Robin smiled slightly, "Wherever you feel like starting".
Regina looked him in the eye, but soon looked down since she felt embarrassed at having lost control over her own body and mind. "We went to the Shop, and I saw Rumpel. The darkness overtook me" Robin wanted to say something, to comfort her, but he waited. He decided to wait until she had said everything she wanted to say to him.
"I fought Emma, I tied the bookworm to have my way with him. I wanted so badly to do it, but I snapped back when he said something to me..." she trailed off.
This time Robin couldn't help it as he asked, "What did he say?".
Regina managed to look him in the eyes and maintain the gaze, "He said that he was my father". Her soulmate didn't know what to think so instead he squeezed her hand and hugged her to his chest. Regina accepted the hug, she rested her head on his shoulder and the tip of her nose touched his neck.
"Do you want to go to sleep?" he asked.
Regina nodded, "Besides, tomorrow we're visiting Zelena" she murmured. Robin nodded slowly, oh how it pained him to hear Regina so down. But she was strong, together they would raise the baby like their own.
Robin took his shoes, sock and pants and changed his shirt into the sleeping shirt he had. Regina changed into satin lilac shorts and a black tank top. Together, the soulmates went to bed locked in their embrace for the rest of the night. They slept soundly.
Somewhere in the woods, a blue portal opened itself. The figure walked calmly through the portal and landed on the damp soil of Storybrooke's woods.
The figure, a man, looked aroung and a satisfied smirk made its way up to his face. He chuckled darkly, "I'm coming for you Regina. I'm coming for you".
And he disappeared in a swirl of burgrundy smoke. His maniacal laughed echoed around and multiple animals ran away, in fear. They sensed the threat.
Regina woke up to an empty bed, Robin's side was still warmso she figured he must have gotten up just before she did. That itself was strange, she was always the first to wake up. She looked at the clock on her nightstand and it read '6:22'. 'I must have been more tired than I thought', thought the brunette. Regina changed into black suit pants, a white t-shirt and black stilettos heels. She wlked downstairs and found Robin int he stove looking confused.
"Robin? What are you doing?"she asked after seeing the expression on his face.
The outlaw turned around and grinned sheepishly, "I was trying to ake breakfast but then I realized that I'm not sure how these devices work". Regina laughed out loud and hugged him, he kissed her and they both smiled into the kiss "Good morning, beautiful"he whispered. Regina kissed him again and moved her hands to his chest to put some space between them.
"We've got to wake the children up and they will want breakfast when they come down"she said.
Robin laughed, "Can you imagine what would happen if they came down and there was no breakfast made?".
Regina imagined the situation and smiled "They would be insufferable!".
She walked around the kitchen while taking all the ingridients she would need to make breakfast. Robin decided that since the children were still sleeping and Regina was making breakfast he would set the table for the four of them. After 15 minutes of making and helping Regina in the making of the breakfast.
She ushered Robin to wake Henry and Roland to go to school. Three sets of steps made their way down the stairs, Henry walked first followed by Roland anf finally Robin. Henry walked up to his Mom and kissed her cheek sleepily, Roland, then did the same though Regina had to bend. The four of them took their respective seats and eat. After almost twenty minutes of eating, Regina suggest Henry and Roland got dressed and their backpacks ready for school. Robin cleared the table while she went to her home office to grab a few fdocuments she had to take with her to the Mayor's office in the Grand Hall. By the time she got down the stairs and into the main room, Robin had given the children their lunches and they were witing for her just in time to drive them to school.
Everyone got into Regina's Mercedes and quickly they drove to the school, the Mayor and the outlaw bid their goodbye's to their sons before driving away. Robin was dropped off at the animal shelter where he worked and Regina drove to the Grand Hall. She parked and waltzed right in, her secretary walking with her towards her office and telling her about certain documents and meetings she had that same day. Regina almost gagged at the ammount of work she had to do, but years of the same job made her look unfazed. She sat behind her desk and watched as her secretary walked out of the office shutting the door behind her.
Her phone started riging and Regina sighed. She picked up, it was her secretary "I'm sorry to bother you Madam Mayor but Sheriff Swan is out here waiting for you", Regina replied by letting her know that the blonde Sheriff could come inside.
The door opened and Emma walked through the door, her face showing all seriousness, she walked until she was directly in front of Regina's desk.
"Good thing you don't have your parent's rude mannerism of walking right in instead of calling" she said, her face devoid of any emotion.
"Regina, I came here because we have to talk".
"About what? If I may pry"
Emma walked a step foward and said "There was a call on the Station talking about a portal being opened in the woods in the middle of the night".
Regina raised an eyebrow "Did something come through?"she asked. She was getting tired of always having to fight someone or something, she wanted a time out and she was sure that Emma felt the same way. The two of them were always fixing things up because they had magic, Rumpelstiltskin had magic too, but no one went to him for help because of his deals, those were always tricky.
Sadly Emma nodded, "The person that called didn't want to leave a name, but she said that a person wearing a black robe stepped oout and that the person had magic, dark magic". Emma just wanted to relax for a while, but she had to admit that she lived fot the misteries that revolved around the small town of Storybrooke.
Emma looked at Regina directly in the eye "So when are we leaving?"she asked.
"Leaving?"asked Regina indignantly.
"To check the place out" offered the blonde woman.
"Ms. Swan, you are the Sheriff of this town and not only that but you are the Savior too, can't you check it out by yourself?"she asked. She didn't want to leave her office until after she finished with all the mountains of paperwork she had.
"Regina, you're the ,agic expert now that Gold is out of the count" he explained.
The brunette groaned, "Can this wait until I'm done with work?"she asked exasperated. Emma nodded, "I'll go check it out for now, but after you're done meet me there"she said, she waited for Regina's nod before turning around and leaving.
