Setting up the tree
Earlier that day...
"Come on Bal, just choose a goddamn tree already!" You groaned at your boyfriend as he was standing in front of a selection of Christmas trees, deciding on which one to get.
"I'm sorry, darling but they're all so unique and amazing. Are you sure we can't take them all?" He asked you, giving you puppy eyes but you was not letting him get away with buying 30 different trees for 1 house.
"I'm sure" You replied back sternly.
He sighed and eventually settled on getting a normal tree that had artificial snow with it. He threw it into the trolley and you both proceeded to continue buying Christmas stuff. You took Balthazar over to the lights and decorations section and picked up a box of white Christmas lights as he chose all the bulb bulbs, candy canes and chocolate pieces to go on the tree.
He placed them in and you both went to the check out, lugging all the bags to the car and trying to fit it all inside. Once you did, you got in and drove home.
Now...
"Christmas tree? Finally up" You huffed, lying on the floor.
"Yeah 'cause that didn't take us 3 hours to put up" You heard Balthazar complain from the other side of the room.
You got up and grabbed the Christmas lights and threw them to Bal. "You do these, I need to get a drink" And with that you left Balthazar to handle untangling the lights as you went into your kitchen and made yourself a cup of coffee.
You walked back into the living room to see Balthazar wrapped around in Christmas lights from head to toe. You chuckled as you took the plug and placed it in a socket, turning it on as Balthazar lit up.
"Come on babe, I left you for 5 minutes" You complained while laughing.
"Remind me to never help set up the Christmas tree again" He pouted as you helped him out the tangle of lights.
