Runaway-Almost

The next week was not easy. The days didn't fly by. I was planning most of the time, oblivious to the world around me. I started counting down the days until I could leave, get away. I remembered and saw everything that went on. I can recall everything the guys asked me, but I didn't feel anything. It was like my emotions were turned off. Like I was a brick wall.

Finally, the tour was over and I was back home. It wasn't soon enough I could walk in. It felt weird. Everything was untouched, foreign, with me being gone for months.

I took some crap out of my bag, and put some in. Once I was ready, I dragged my suitcase outside and started walking. It seemed stupid to me that I was gone for months, and when I finally get back I leave again. Crazy, right?

Soon, I started singing. Cruise Control pops into my head. I'm mid-chorus when I hit something. I stumble back, and my suitcase opened from the impact of hitting the ground.

I looked up, ready to yell. I saw a pretty girl. "Oh-sorry... I-" I stuttered.

"Let me help," she said, putting stuff back in my suitcase.

"I'm Logan, by the way," I said, extending my hand. She shook it.

"I'm Victoria. If you don't mind me asking, why do you have a suitcase? You're not running away, are you?" She joked.

Not anymore, I'm not. "I'm.... Moving," I lied.

"You need some help?" She asked.

   "Sure," I said. Why'd I say that?!

"Don't you have a car?" What's with this? Is it question Logan day?!

"Exactly the opposite..." I said with a chuckle.

We started walking back to my house, and I learned a lot about her. I laughed more in the last two hours than in the last two weeks. For a day, I actually forgot about Carly. Could she save me? The way she makes me so happy, this could bring me back...

                     ~One Month Later~

Vic and I are dating now. I'm almost myself again. But I know if she goes out of my life, I'll be a wreck. She knows everything about me now. She knows why I wasn't myself, and only we know that.

Tonight, I'm throwing her a huge birthday party at Kendall's place. (People aren't gonna trash my house!) Everything is going according to plan, and Vic doesn't suspect a thing. She thinks we're going to a movie.

When we got to Kendall's house, I told her to close her eyes. I carefully helped her out. When we got inside and I showed her, she was so happy. For the next half hour, we welcomed people, then the party started.
