Chapter 2: The Journey to the North Pole

Copper and Bell Ran into the cargo pit of the plane to get half way to the north pole. Bell never thought she would ever get to do this in her life but Copper made it possible. Copper said "we can't just get up and walk out now, we have to create a distraction so they don't call the pound." Bell knew that Copper had a plan so she did not challenge his escape plan. So Bell said, "okay Copper I'm ready." Copper curled up in a ball Next to Bell and fell asleep for the rest of the ride. The cargo doors were opening so Copper shoved a crate down the door, and while the guards were distracted they jumped off the plane and ran for the hills.

Bell's heart was racing so fast she started to laugh. She said " Oh Copper this is so fun I can't wait until we get to the North Pole." Copper smiled and said "yes, The North Pole will indeed be a very fun trip." Bell felt like something was stalking her and creeping in the woods. She told Copper that she felt that someone was watching them. Copper insisted that they keep walking and watch their surroundings. Copper heard a dark mysterious growl and he had chills that went down his spine. He told Bell to walk faster and to find shelter for the night. They found an old abandoned Cave and started to make themselves at home so they could sleep for the night.

Copper curled up next to Bell and said,"forever and always I will stand by your side until your heart stops beating and into the next life." Bell said with a yawn "yes forever and always my darling." They fell asleep on the cold dark floor of the cave with the wind singing songs of darkness with lighting and heavy snow coming down. A bolt of lightning struck the ground awakening Copper and Bell with fear. Copper looked deep into the hole of the cave and seen the glowing eyes of a wolf. Copper told Bell "stay low and to keep quiet." Copper looked out again and saw three wolves sitting outside of the cave.

The snow was coming down hard and the lighting struck the ground every five seconds. The gusting winds blew against the wolves but they did not move. Their was one wolf that stood out the most that Copper saw. The wolf with the scar on his neck. Copper was confused and all he heard was the gusting winds and the wolves howling. Copper actually had fear in his eyes and Bell asked "are you okay Copper?"

Copper said yes i'm just thinking." When Copper looked outside he heard a loud yelp and a scream coming from behind him. Bell was gone and Copper's heart sprang into action. He was afraid and  he could not see anything.  The  harsh blizzard was  coming down with lightning bolts striking the ground. Now Copper was furious and said "I'll find you Bell." Copper did not want to sleep but he did to manage his strength for the next day. The wolves did not know what they just unleashed that night when they took bell but they were about to find out. Copper sprang up in the morning and started sniffing for tracks.

Copper could not see any but his nose could smell the nasty stench of the wolves. He past some trees that looked like claw marks on them. Copper said to himself " Copper old boy shes okay shes a tuff girl." Copper came across an old wise owl that was sitting on a broken tree branch. Copper asked the owl "have you seen a pack of wolves with a dog." The old owl said "yes, they are in an old house nine minutes from here." Copper said "thank you very much,  thank you so much." Copper heard a strong yelp from far away through the dark trees covered in snow. The wolf jumped through the trees and surprised Copper, with a bit to the neck and threw him on the ground.

Copper had blurred vision and could not move for six minutes. When Copper got up the wolf was gone but luckily he saw the old house. Copper sprinted towards the house and jumped through the window knocking down one of the wolf members to the ground. Bell saw Copper and said " Copper you found me, oh you crazy golden dog you." Copper smiled and all the wolves surrounded Copper. Copper heard a voice scream " NO, he's mine and if he gets through me then you can have your fun."

Copper's golden fur darkened and he started to growl and show his teeth. He lunged at the wolf and tackled him to the ground and bit his foot. The wolf yelped and Tried to get away but Copper bit his tail and dragged him back. Copper said "you're done trying to take away the things i love". With a Deep dark growl the wolf said "fine." The other wolves jumped at Copper and had him pinned down now. The wolf said " Oh the poor golden pup has come to die." Bell  screamed "No But the lone wolf did." She lunged at the wolf and throwing him out of the door way down the hill never to be seen again.
