The Guardian Angel

Chapter 4: The Golden Truth

    Copper sighed and said "Bell, I was going to tell you I swear." As his heart was dropping in his gut Bell said "Copper I'm not mad at you for not telling me." Copper looked up at her in disbelief and turned his head away. She said "Copper I swear to you i'm not mad."  Angel walked up to Copper and snuggled up to him and said "dad i love you no matter what." Copper smiled at angel and said " I know son I know you love me.'' Copper looked at Bell and said "let's go in the house and talk about how this happened."

    Bell was sitting at the table and Copper started to talk. Copper said "it all started when I was in the car with my family and everyone was happy and humorous." I had a beautiful family with a little boy that always snuggled up next to me and gave me kisses and hugs all the time and his parents always fed me delicious treats," Copper began to tell the toughest part of the story. The car got hit by a truck and slid off the road and flipped and got wrapped around a tree. Copper sighed and said "and there i was laying in the snow not breathing with glass shattered everywhere."

    I could see my body and my family getting put in the hospital but then I heard a voice say "you will be the golden angel warrior of earth protecting the people you love." Then next thing you know i'm in a doggy bed in the hospital next to the little boy that loved me. The day i was running out of my house was because well that same little boy got put in an orphanage because his parents passed away that night. Then that's when I met you Bell and that's the end of my story Copper said with a calm soothing voice.

    Copper had a tear in his eye and Bell said " I'm so sorry that happened to your family Copper." Copper looked deep into Bell's eyes and said "it's okay dear all this led me to you and our family." Angel came in the room and said "dad someone is here to see you." Copper walked out to the living room and saw uncle Howard. Uncle Howard had an awkward tooth and the rest were missing, and his fur was dark grey. Copper said, "uncle Howard  what are u doing here." He said i'm here to see my new family what do you think you goofy dog.

    Copper said " Bell, angel, this is my uncle Howard." Howard said "Copper young boy you have a beautiful family here make sure u take care of them."  Bell insisted that Howard would stay for dinner tonite with the family. Copper agreed with a light smile and walked into the other room to start getting the food ready. Howard asked angel how old he was now and angel said "well i don't really know." Angel looked like a fully grown dog just like Copper now. Copper came out into the living room and said "Angel come and help me with dinner."

Copper smiled and threw a piece of pie at Angel and started to chase him around. Copper told angel to come out to the barn with him he has a gift for him. Copper and Angel were in the middle of the barn while uncle Howard was on his way out. Copper said "would you like to be an angel like me son?'' Angel was so excited he immediately said "yes." Copper opened his golden wings with the golden flames and sparks coming of them and flew up with angel.

Angel went through the portal of immortality and put Angel in a golden circle of angels. Copper said "now close your eyes and clear your mind." Copper put a golden blanket over Angel and a bunch of golden lightning bolts surrounded Angel. As loud as it was Copper could hear Howard shutting the door and leaving the house wondering where they went. The lighting bolt stopped and Copper turned around and saw Angels black and golden wings.

Copper now felt that Angel would always be safe but this time they had to tell Bell. They flew down back to the house and walked into the living room with Bell looking at them. She asked where they went when uncle Howard was here. Copper said "our son got his angel wings today." Bell said to Copper "can i speak to you in the other room?'' Copper said "look I just wanted to make sure he would always be protected Bell."

Bell looked at Copper like he was crazy. Copper sighed and said "he will be fine I promise." Bell said okay and they went back into the other room. Copper had no idea that she was gonna be that upset about Angel getting wings. All Copper wanted was for him to be safe whenever he wasn't around. Angel promised his dad that he will only use his powers for good.

Bell felt like something really bad was about to happen but she trusted Copper. Now Copper would never put his son in  harm's way. Copper walked up to Bell and kissed her nose. She curled up next to him and said "forever and always." Copper smiled and said back "yes, forever and always Bell." Copper heard a storm coming and he got up to look for Angel. Angel was gone and Copper could not find him anywhere. He began to panick and paste back and forth. Angel heard his parents conversation and felt like his mother was mad at him so he ran away.

Bell was frightened and so was Copper. They both wanted their son to come back and Bell felt really bad like this was her fault. Copper had to comfort her and snuggle up next her to make her calm.Bell knew that changing Angel would cause something like this to happen. Copper also felt that this was his fault so he went to go look for him. Bell said "don't leave." Copper said i have to go find him before someone else does. Copper flew over the fields and over the whole town for two hours. But he remembered one place, the place where he was created. The immortal bridge. 

Copper flew up to the bridge and saw dark lightning bolts with some golden bolts striking the ground. Copper screamed "nooo!" Copper tried to get through the bolts but he couldn't get through. Copper saw purple eyes through the bolts of lightning. He felt like this was something that he would not be able to control. Dark fog started to emerge around Copper and the circle of lightning bolts. Copper saw dark wings with a purple color on them with purple ice protecting the outside of Angels wings.

Copper had bad feeling of what was about to happen. The bolts stopped, but coming out of the dark fog with purple eyes was Angel. Angels teeth were sharper and longer than ever, his fur was dark with purple zigzags, and his wings had purple ice glowing on the outside. Copper said "son this is not you, trust me you don't want this life." Angel said "no dad, this feels amazing and really powerful." Copper now regrets his decision for changing Angel.

Angel's powers were creating darkness all around where he was.  Angel said " dad are you going to kill me since i'm bad now or will it be easy for me to kill you." Copper said "no son i will not kill you." Angel showed his sharp teeth and said "good." He sprinted towards Copper and put his purple sharp crystal wing through Coppers chest and looked him in the eyes and said " goodbye dad."  Copper fell to the ground and Angel picked him up and flew him down to the house.

He dropped Coppers body right in front of Bell and said "he won't be coming back." Bell started to cry and ran towards Copper while Angel flew away. Bell has never felt so much pain and suffering in her life before. She denied to let go of Copper so she laid him in his favorite fluffy bed and said "there you go dear forever and always, side by side into the next life you will fly."  Bell had tears running down her face making her eyes hurt from crying.

Bell wished that this day would never come but Angel took the one thing that she could never live without. He took Copper away from her and now laying in the fluffy white bed was Copper the golden guardian angel that she loved. The next day she covered Copper up and walked into the kitchen. She walked back into the room and laid on the couch and closed her eyes. She said to herself "All he wanted to do was love and protect, and love for his son is what got him killed." Bell looked at Copper's  body and said darling please if you can hear me come back.
