3rd Person POV

Lydia walked through the front door, closed it behind her and leaned her back up against it as she tried to catch her breath. She peered through the window and watched as Stiles backed out of her driveway.

"Was that the Sheriff's son?" Parker's voice echoed from the living room.

Lydia followed the echoes to see Parker sitting in a leather recliner with a beer bottle hanging on his lips.

"Yeah it was." Lydia leaned in the doorway with her arms crossed. She was preparing herself for a fight.

"I want you to stay away from him." Parker stated, not even bothering to make eye contact with Lydia.

"Why? Are you afraid that I'm gonna tell him that you're abusive? And that he might tell his dad? And then his dad might arrest you? Is that why Parker?" Lydia cocked her eye brow up challengingly.

Parker's head snapped towards Lydia with eyes holding flames of fury. He clanged his beer bottle to the coffee table and marched over to Lydia, stopping just an arms length away.

"Lydia I swear to god, if you say a word, you won't be able to see me get arrested." His voice rumbled deep from within his chest.

Lydia was terrified, cursing herself for stepping over the line.

"Uh...w-where's Bella..?" Lydia's whole body shook in fear as she watched Parker's fists tighten.

"At a friend's house." He growled and took a step closer and Lydia took three steps back.

Lydia knew she was in for it and she only had about 10 seconds to decide what she was going to. She could sprint upstairs in her wedges and only hope she won't snap an ankle. Lydia held on tightly to her purse getting ready to run.

She kicked with all her might, targeting every man's weakest spot. Parker doubled over and Lydia sprinted away as fast as she could, heading for the front door.

"LYDIA!!!" Parker roared with such anger that Lydia has never heard before in her life.

Lydia slammed the front door behind her as she scurried down to her car, trying to fish out her keys in the process. Her chest felt tight and she wasn't sure if it was because of how absolutely terrified she was or because of sprinting as fast as she could. Just as she got into the drivers seat Parker appeared at the front steps of the house with a stop light red colored face.

Sweat was pouring down Lydia's back as she watched Parker bound down the cement steps while she tried to get the key into the ignition.

"LYDIA IF YOU LEAVE THIS HOUSE YOU ARE NOT TO EVER COME BACK." Parker was only three yards away from her car and Lydia's car finally sputtered to life.

Just as Parker's hand slammed on the drivers side window Lydia put the car in reverse and sped out of the drive way.

Lydia felt hot tears starting to slide down her cheeks. She wiped them away with the back of her hand, ashamed that she let Parker get the best of her. Her heart was beating out of her chest and she gripped the steering wheel so hard it felt as if her hands were going to snap it. She quickly snatched her phone out of her purse and dialed Allison.

"Hello?" Allison's voice came in breathy and hard.

Shit, she's at Scott's. Lydia pondered on whether she should ruin their time, but where else was she going to go? She only knew where Kira and Malia lived and she wasn't really close with them.
