Both fresh out of high school, Stiles and Lydia are on the path to a new life. When those paths happen to cross though, things don't go the way they expected. Lydia is everything Stiles wants, but he just isn't her type. As they spend more time together, Lydia's feelings start to change. Stiles is convinced it's meant to be, but Lydia is skeptical of fate.

To be honest, It was Lydia Martin's first one night stand of many to come later. Lydia wasn't into relationships. On the other hand, that's all Stiles seemed to find himself in. Relationship after relationship, it never stopped.

Lydia Martin hasn't had the easiest life, but she's learned over the years to keep her feelings concealed. The only person she has ever truly trusted in her life is her best friend Allison Argent. Stiles, Lydia, Scott, Kira and Malia are on their way home from their second road trip to mexico. They had no luck in following the lead that was supposed to tell them more about Malia's family who weirdly enough had tried to contact Lydia from the other side to tell Malia the story about her family. Angry with Lydia for being a "useless clue" Malia takes off running into the night. Scott and Kira offers to follow her trail and Stiles + Lydia gets in the car to go home to Beacon Hills, but something unexpected happens and they are forced to take a detour.

"Game plan. Throw a kick ass party and have Lydia Martin fall in love with you." "I'm pretty sure that's not how it works..." "And I'm pretty sure that's exactly how it works." Stiles wasn't even remotely close to popular and having a crush on the most popular girl at Beacon Hills didn't exactly help. But apparently (according to his best friends) throwing a kick ass party would help get him a little bit of radar. "You're the kid that threw that party right?" Lydia then makes it her full fledged job to un-nerd him. She calls it her best idea yet: project Stilinski.
