A week later
I walked through the house and went straight to my room. I haven't really spoken since I woke up. Dustin and Kendall have been trying to cheer me up, but nothing they have done has worked.
"Home sweet home." Dustin said as he brought my bag up to my room. I just went over to my bed and sat down. Kendall walked in and set all my 'get well soon' gifts from everyone that came to visit me. I got under the blanket with my knees up.
"Dude, when is she going to cheer up?" I heard Kendall whisper to Dustin.
"Dude, she just lost a baby." Dustin said.
"It was my baby too, but you don't see me acting like this." Kendall said.
"But the baby was inside of Cassie. Believe it or not they had a special bond." Dustin said. "You just need to give her time."
"Yeah I guess." Kendall said. I heard them both leave the room. And now I was left alone.
