I guess wattpad didn't like the original chapter for this since it was somehow deleted the original chapter for this. So let's try this again. I like this one better tbh.

Enjoy!

I heard the steady beats. It sounded like it was coming from a machine. I slowly opened my eyes. The room  was white and bright. It took a few moments for my eyes to adjusts. When they did adjust I realized I was in a hospital room and the steady beats were from a machine that was attached to me. I looked around the room. There seemed to be nothing in the room but me, well at least that's what I thought until I heard some groaning. I stood up slowly, trying not to move the arm that the machine was attached to.

"Kendall?" I asked. My voice was croaky and it sounded like I had a lump in my throat when I spoke, but Kendall still heard me as he stood up quickly after I said his name.

"Cassie?" Kendall asked. "Is that you?"

"Well, it ain't the Easter bunny." I said. My throat hurting the more I talked. I took a hold of my throat and started to massage it. Kendall came right over and poured something into a small cup and handed it to me. I put the cup to my lips and took a giant sip. The cold water soothed my throat as I swallowed it.

"How do you feel?" Kendall asked.

"Peachy." I said. "What happened?"

"You don't remember?" Kendall asked.

"If I did I wouldn't be asking you what happened." I said.

"True." Kendall said. "I'll be back."

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"To get your doctor." Kendall said. I just nodded and he left the room. I just sat there in the hospital bed and waited for Kendall to come back in. When he did there was an older man that followed him in. I'm assuming he is my doctor.

"Cassie. It's nice to see you awake." the older man said. "You gave us all quite a scare."

"How long was I out for?" I asked.

"A little over a week." he said.

"And my baby?" I asked. The older man and Kendall both looked at each other. I knew with the looks on their faces that something was up. "What is it?"

"Um..." Kendall said.

"Tell me." I said. No one said anything. "TELL ME NOW!"

"Cassie, I'm sorry to tell you this, but..." the older man said. "But your baby didn't survive. You had a miscarriage. I'm sorry."
