"Hello, McQueen Residence. Mr.Carson the butler speaking"

What? Its Ellie's hard earned mobile, why in the world would Carson answer it?. Its supposedly the only add-on she has successfully warranted without the necessity of causing an uproar .

"Hello Carson, I'm Lyra speaking. May I talk to Ellie" I try to say as formally as I possibly am cable of.

"Actually Miss Lyra, Miss Elliot won't be able to receive your call right at the moment. I'm afraid she is unwell and is being fussed over. I'll let her know you called"

"Okay. Thank you Carson. I hope Ellie gets well soon. Goodbye"

"Goodbye, Miss Lyra"

Ellie is unwell? so unwell as to miss school? She seemed very much fit and fine to me yesterday. And most importantly her parents were never the ones who kept Ellie home on a school day even if she had high fever. She is supposed to study hard and missing one day school means going one step back from her much awaited educational career.

So what happened today? Unless of course being unwell is actually something serious.

I glance down at my wristwatch and it says 9:55 a.m, only five minutes to go before the next period. Shit! I need to get going as I have my mobile to put back in my locker. It really sucks to call your best friend from inside your school bathroom and that too illegally. (Most common school rule #No mobiles allowed inside the school premises).

But on a serious note, I honestly feel that something about Ellie's being unwell is seriously messed up. I know people will think I'm overreacting; but believe me I'm not.

Its highly unusual for Elliot McQueen to fall so sick as to skip school

the only place where she can be a free bird...
