Two men stood at a bus station, one blond, and the other had hair the color of ravens. The blond was clad in three layers of plaid shirts, a sweater on top, leather jacket, and a scarf and hat for good measure.
It was December, and cold. So cold that he could see the steam radiating of the raven man's capped head. He was dressed in his usual suit and trench coat, but refused to wear anything else. The blond forced him to at least wear a hat, not wanting to get stared at for underdressing in this type of weather.
There was no conversation between the friends. The blond had his hands shoved in his pockets, while the raven smiled into the tree line. With each passing wind, the flimsy bus station shook like a leaf. "Damn," muttered the blond at a particularly strong burst of wind. The raven was not fazed the slightest.
Finally, the bus pulled up to the curb, and the blond quickly got on, while the raven took his time. Blondie sat down on the first open seat, and the man followed and sat next to him. Not expecting to be this close, he scooted away from the raven, trying to create distance.
Silence.
It seemed to last forever, until the raven spoke up, "I would like to thank you for taking time out of your schedule to do this for me." He continued to smile into nothingness, "It really means quite a lot to me. I am very fascinated with these types of things."
The blond nearly shrugged and quickly nodded, muttering a 'your welcome'. It was weird. Of corse the two were friends, but never had they been alone together, much less go on this trip. But the raven did many things for the blond, so he thought he at least owed him this much, before they left New York.

The rest of the ride was quiet, as most of the trip was. When they finally pulled up to their destination, both men hopped off. Raven man walked towards the building, with blondie in tow, and looked up smiling to read the sign. "American Museum of Natural History", the raven read out loud with glee. The blond just shook his head, now there was another nerd in the family.
They both walked through the revolving doors into the museum. Instantly they were greeted with a burst of warm air (much to the blonds delight), the marble structured floors and staircase, and the ginormous T-Rex model standing in the entrance, poised like it was about to gobble up the visitors. After paying for two tickets, they began their journey starting at the Theodore Rosevelt wax figure, and continuing from there.
The other man didn't know why, but the raven was overjoyed at every single exhibit. The blond just stared at him in amazement; how could such small things make a man like him fill with such great wonder? Why didn't the blond feel this way? Was he looking from wrong angle? Blondie tilted his head slightly, but now all he saw was a sideways Sacajawea. He just didn't see the speciality in things like the giant Dum Dum head, the small Roman and Western figures, or the Ancient Egyptian tomb (Ok he had to admit, that was cool!)
But as the raven man looked up at the gigantic whale hanging from the ceiling with awe, the blond looked to. Not awed by the fact of the huge mammal, but by the curiosity of one small man. Blondie looked down and smiled at himself, filled with a whole new view

After their stop at the gift shop, they both left. Adventuring out into the cold, waiting in the horrid weather, and finally in the bus, the blond looked over to the raven. He was inspecting a small, plastic dinosaur he had bought at the gift shop (as well as an I Heart Ahk T-Shirt, which he was currently wearing under the trench coat).
Noticing that the blond was staring at him, the raven cleared his throat, startling the other man and snapping him back into reality. "Thank you Dean," started the raven, "This has proven to be a very exciting and fulfilling trip." Dean looked into his friends eyes and smiled, "Yeah Cas, it has been."
Dean broke the stare and smiled into his lap. It had been fulfilling, but not the same type as Cas's. He was finally looking from the right angle.

As Dean turned his head, Cas continued to stare back at his dinosaur. 'Maybe being human isn't all that bad...' he thought.
