Perfect

After long years of sexual tension, stolen glimpses, and innuendos Castiel and Dean Winchester finally got together. It was actually Cas who confronted Dean about it. He had been talking to Sam for a while, who also noticed the attraction they had for each other way before they even knew it. He suggested that Cas should be the one to make the first move, since he knew that even if Dean did it, it'd be horrible and embarrassing. Lets just say guys were out of Deans common knowledge on how to flirt with. That and Dean never really asked someone out before, properly.
But everything was perfect.
The two lived in the bunker with Sam, but after a few years they decided to get a small house together. Dean quit the hunting life to the best of his ability, and Cas officially broke off all the ties he had to Heaven and its angles. They were free to be together. They bought a small house in the country side of Kansas. It was white with a brown roof, simple but it was home. It was big enough for the two, and the occasional visit from Sam. Dean took up a job at an auto shop, while Cas decided to stay home, just in case they had unwanted guests. Their lives were perfect.

It had been an easy day at the shop for Dean that night. Sam promised him a beer after work, since they hadn't seen each other for a while. Sam was busy a lot; he never really gave up the life, but he balanced it with his job as a cop. Sam decided to become a police officer with Jody, he figured more authorities should know about what is out there, plus he wanted to help normal people with normal situations. Dean wiped the remaining grease on his hands on an old tarred towel as he answered his phone. It was Cas.
"Hey Cas, whats up?" Dean never really used any cute nicknames for him, since Cas wouldn't understand anyway.
"Dean, a-are you and Sam still going out tonight?"
"Yeah why, whats wrong? Is everything ok?"
"Y-yes everything fine, just take your time please."
"Cas do you need me to come home? You know I can just tell Sam-"
"No Dean. Just enjoy it and have fun. I-I'll see you soon, ok?"
"Yeah sure whatever you say Cas, see you in a few."
There was a pause.
"Goodbye, Dean."
"Bye Cas." Dean smiled as he hung up the phone.

Dean laughed as he turned his head to face Sam as he unlocked his front door.
"Im telling you man, I hadn't seen Bobby that scared since '92!"
Sam smiled as he looked up from the floor, his elbow sticking out the window of his car, "I'll see you tomorrow, Dean."
"Later, Sammy!" he called over his shoulder as he finally opened his door.
Dean walked into the house and closed the door as he heard his younger brother drive away.
The night had been perfect.
The lights were all off. Dean turned them on, puzzled. I guess Cas can see in the dark, he though with a chuckle. The older Winchester kicked off his boots, and hung up his coat as he dropped his keys in the bowl under a framed picture of Dean and Cas. He smiled as he saw the photo, then remembered that Cas was home. Dean made his way into every room in the house, calling for Cas, but he had no answer. He didn't think too much of it, since Cas usually did his own thing.
Dean walked upstairs, turning on a few lights as he went. He walked into the room the two shared, and plopped on the covers, face up, elbows behind his head, eyes closed. He shifts a little bit, moving his head from left to right, trying to get a little comfortable before Cas would join him. He finally got to where he liked, when a drop of something wet lands on his fore head. His eyebrows furrowed as more continued to drip on him. He finally opened his eyes to see Cas on the ceiling with a gaping wound on his chest that glowed a angelic blue.
"CAS!" was all he was able to get out before the ceiling along with his lover burst into flames.
That was Dean Winchesters last perfect night.
