Nathan was going to be okay, I'm sure of it. He may be hobbling along, but he'd be fine. I was careful with him, made sure he was always walking on flat ground. He often shouts because of his injury, but I always make sure he is okay.
"What the hell?" Nathan asked, pointing to the sky.
There was a tornado forming on the water of Arcadia Bay. The town was basically blowing to pieces. I turn to Nathan, a frozen look of shock on his face. "Victoria......" he cried. Blackwell Academy was starting to get engulfed in wind as the front of the building ripped off.
He loved Victoria. Not me. I was done. I dropped to the ground, expelling the food that the nice nurses at the hospital had given me. Nathan rushes over toward me, holding me.
"Charlotte!" He yells. "Charlotte are you okay?"
I look up at him after I am done. "You don't care about me....." I say. Then I collapse from exhaustion.
-------------------------------------------
I hear screaming as I wake up from my hazy sleep. It's Nathan. He's shaking me violently. "Not you, not you..... Please! Anyone but you!" I can feel his tears dripping on my face as he says that.
"Nathan....." I whisper. He opens his eyes.
"Charlie...." He knew my nickname. My personal nickname. He kisses my vomit covered lips, not giving a damn about the disgusting fact.
"Don't.... Do that.... Again...." He whispers as we part. I can see my vomit on his lips. He looks at them and wipes it off with his hands. "Sorry... That must look disgusting." He chuckles.
"Nathan, what the hell are you doing?" I hear a voice from afar.
"Chloe? Max!?" Nathan shouts. I look over to see Max and this blue-haired girl walking towards us. The blue haired girl has almost everything exposed, I can even see her bra peaking over her skull tanktop. She also has a tattoo on her arm.
"Charlotte!" Max gasps. "What are you doing here?"
"Nathan and I need to get out of this storm!" I yell, still kind of weak from the vomiting.
"Why don't we leave that douchebag here?" Asks the blue-haired girl.
"Chloe!" Max whispers at her.
"Hey!" I yell. "I actually like him!"
The girls freeze. Nathan looks down at me. "You... Like me?" He asks.
"I don't like you, I love you."
"I love you too." Nathan whispers. And then we kiss again. I feel his hands trailing through my hair and his hands behind my back. He is slowly lifting me up.
"Um guys, hate to interrupt the Hallmark movie but we need to get out of here!" Max shouts.
Nathan breaks us apart. He tries to pick me up but he winces and drops to the ground. "Crap, my bullet wound!"
"Nathan!" I cry. I pick him up softly. I then start carrying him to Chloe's truck.
Chloe and Max follow, and I get in with Nathan in my lap. Max is seated in the middle and Chloe is in the driver's seat.
"Let's get out of here!" Chloe says, flooring the car and speeding it down the hill to the main road.
The truck hits a bump and we skid on to the road. We are picking up speed as we zoom out of Arcadia Bay.
I sigh. "I hope everyone has shelter."
Then Chloe starts crying a little bit. "My mom is in the Two Whales, and I don't know where my stepdad is! He could be being crushed to death! He called my mom and told her he was going to save you, Max......"
I look at her. "Chloe, I'm so sorry...."
Max gets out her cell phone and starts pulling up Google maps. She types and a route pops up.
"Max, where are we going?" I ask.
"Seattle."
