| The events in part 2 of the previous chapter occur a few weeks after the 1st part of that chapter. This chapter tells a part of the story that leads up to the end of that second part |

Mary Margaret stood, frozen, her body filled with terror. Cora, the woman whom she'd tricked Regina into murdering, Regina's own mother, stood before the group with a sly smile on her face.
"Mother."
Regina's voice was unsure. Full of hatred but still tinged with love and regret.
"Hello Regina." Cora replied. "Rumple," she added with a wink.
The group stood still. No one dared move.
"I see you've found my home."
"We're just here to rescue Hook." Emma stated. "We don't want any trouble with you."
"Oh but that's exactly what you're going to get." Replied Cora.
Cora waved her hand towards Emma and Emma disappeared in a flurry of blue smoke before anyone had a chance to stop it. The group stood in shock.
"What did you do?" Screamed Mary Margaret. "Where is my daughter?"
"You!" Cora shouted marching up to Mary Margaret. "You took me away from daughter. You are responsible for our separation. Now, I've taken your daughter away from you."
Tears streamed down Mary Margaret's face and David held her tightly. Regina stepped towards her mother.
"Mother. Please." Regina pleaded. "Stop this. Where have you sent Emma?"
"Somewhere where you won't ever find her. Somewhere she will never be able to save her beloved true love." Cora laughed.
"But..." Regina started, but before she could finish Cora waved her hand once more and the entire group were carried away with the smoke.

Emma landed clumsily on a damp dusty floor. She lifted her hand to brush away the hair from her face and when she looked up, she saw that she was in a small, dark room with minimal furniture and only a few brightly coloured paintings on the wall to cheer the place up. She looked around trying to find a door. A window was all she saw. From where she sat, Emma could make out only the leafy canopies of some very tall looking trees and a sinking feeling began to fester inside of her. She walked across to the window, peered out over the ledge and her fears were realised. Emma was at the top of a very tall tower. A tower that appeared to have no way out.

| sorry for the slow update. Had a bit of writers block with this chapter. I've already written the next one though so hopefully you won't have to wait too long ;) |
