My mayoun outfit was pink and yellow which bua got for me. With the outfit, I had flower jewelery which looked very pretty. Soon after I got dressed, I started hearing my cousins come in. "you look so pretty!", my cousin Sara said. After they brought me into the living room, I was put on a couch. They all had specially decorated the couch for my mayoun. At that point, I somehow felt special. My bua began conducting the rasms (traditional customs); telling my cousins to feed me sweets, put ubtan (a yellow beautification paste made of turmeric. At that very point, I missed my mother a lot because all this customs are performed by the bride's mother. After the rasms, there was dholki where all the girls play a drum and sing songs and have competitions. All my boy cousins started dancing like they had never ever danced. They all were so happy for me. After the dholki, everyone sat down to have food and after food they once again started dancing.
Bua: It is already 12. Can all of you stop and go and sleep, we need to prepare a lot for tomorrow.
Tomorrow was my mhendi. I am already exhausted and I still have like 4 functions remaining. I really needed sleep. I am the first bride who is not at all happy.
