Meesha's POV:
I was really upset and sad as I was leaving my Papa behind who had been a father and a mother both. Bua helped me sit in the car and Ali came and sat next to me. Ayaan was driving and it was just the 3 of us.
We reached Ali's house in 10 minutes. We hadn't talked throughout the drive. His house was beautiful. A huge bungalow and as soon as we entered, there was a swimming pool by the side, then the lawn and then the house entrance door.
Ayaan opened the door and we both set our feet in the house. That moment I had tears in my eyes because I was missing Papa so much that I wanted to break down but I controlled.
Ali's POV:
I was delighted when Meesha set her feet in but at the same time I could see pain in her eyes. She wanted to cry so bad but I guess she was afraid of doing that in front of me.
It was only me and her as Ayaan had shifted because a couple needs privacy. I didn't want him to but he insisted so I couldn't refuse. We both were alone in the hall and it was an extremely awkward situation. There was utter silence.
I finally broke the silence
Ali: So.....? I hope you are feeling better now
Meesha: Yeah, much better.
Ali: Please make yourself comfortable and if you ever need anything, just let me know
Meesha: Ya sure. Which room is ours?
Ali: (Thoughts) I was so stupid. I even forgot to show her the room. I wonder what impression she must have got. I am really sorry, I completely forgot. Let's go!
Meesha: It's okay!
Meesha's POV:
He looked so cute while apologizing but it wasn't his mistake either because all this is supposed to be done by the groom's family but I guess I am his only family now.
I followed him upstairs and we entered a beautiful room which was decorated with flowers and candles. Everything was just so beautiful but I was very nervous. I didn't know what to do at all.
We both just stood gazing away from each other. He was as nervous as I was.
This time I broke the silence.
Meesha: It's beautiful
Ali: (Surprised) Beautiful?
Meesha: The room is really beautiful. Thanks
Ali: She finally said something nice I was waiting to hear. I was on cloud nine. Your welcome, I replied sweetly.
Meesha: I wanted to sleep so badly but then I remembered what Bua had told me. I had to make this relationship work on my own unwillingly. I went and sat on the couch with all that heavy jewelery and clothes on me.
Ali: Meesha went and sat on the couch. I thought she was just going to sleep but I guess Ayaan was right. She does want this relationship. I went and sat beside her.
Meesha, I know all customs are done by the groom's family but I am really sorry, you had to take your first step without blessings. I am really sorry.
Meesha: I could see tears in his eyes.
Look Ali, whatever you did was more than enough and you don't need to say all that. We are married now and from today onwards all your problems are mine and never say you have no family.
I don't know what suddenly got into me, I said all that to Ali who I didn't even want to marry.
Ali: Thanks a lot Meesha. It means a lot
Meesha's POV:
I could see he was relieved after my words which made me happy. He suddenly held my hand and I was so nervous. He planted a peck on my right hand which left me speechless and took out a beautiful red box from his pocket.
It was a gold bracelet. I was simply awestruck. He took it out and placed it on my hands. I wasn't expecting this.
"Now it looks more beautiful", He said.
I had no words, I just said a thanks and headed towards the washroom to change.
Ali's POV:
She was just surprised by the gesture. I guess she wasn't expecting. She just said a thanks and went to the washroom to change.
I also went to change once she was out and then she took the right side and I took the left side of the bed and we lay down.
Tomorrow was our reception. A big day as well.
