Meesha's POV:
Preparations commenced immediately after the engagement. Everyone seemed so happy except me who kept on crying inside. I didn't want to leave my papa since he was both a father and a mother to me and my dream was also shattered. He took more care of me than anyone else did. I was just getting married for the sake of my father and his happiness. I knew that my whole life will change after 5 days. For some people, it was just 5 days but to me it was a matter of my whole life. I was aware that I will get nikkahfied (Muslim Matrimony) with Ali tomorrow and will officially and legally be his forever. I wanted to cry but didn't want anyone to know the pain I was going through.
All my cousins thought that I was very happy. But how could I tell them what I was actually feeling? I had never been close to anyone in my family except my Papa and bua.Lightings started and there was music in every corner of the house. All my relatives started to fly down for my wedding. Bua started buying me clothes and other things I would need. Papa was too busy to even come and sit down with me. He was the most excited person and didn't want any stone left unturned in my wedding.
