Paris.

It was where she'd always felt she belonged.

She'd grown up in NYC so the city thing wasn't new to her. Her mother was French and her father German, and she loved them very much but really, Paris.

Paris is what she'd loved.

She'd come here every year with her mother to visit family and friends and it's what she looked forward to every year.

The warm pastries, the sights and sounds, and the people were amazing considering the fact they weren't the classic rude New Yorkers.

She thought of Paris as her home.

Who is she you ask?

She is Alexis Dupont.

Long light brown hair that was a bit unruly at times, eyes like the sea, and a smile that would make you light up inside no matter how sad you were.

She was carefree and wonderful and full of bliss and made you burst with joy every time you looked at her and you promised yourself you would never let her go because she was the source of everything that was good to you and-

You let her go. And now you don't know what to do.

You knew you had to follow her because you needed her. And you hoped deep down inside that she needed you too.

The way your lips melted together as if it were a puzzle piece that just fit, her small fragile hands that were engulfed in yours every time you held them, and the adorable giggle she'd make when you'd just told her a joke.

Yet you'd also loved the way her eyes seemed like glass when she'd been crying, the way the corners of her mouth twitched when you'd try to get her to smile, the way she'd hold you when you couldn't deal with anything anymore, the comforting words she'd whisper in your ear that made you relax and let go of all of your tension.

She was like coming up for fresh air when you were drowning.

And now you are drowning and you need her.

And you'll get her back. You will.

Why?

Because she loved Paris.

But she loved you more.

Hope you guys liked that little introduction to Alexis! This is kind of a fast forward take from someone's POV ;) but my first update after a year hope you like it!
