6:02 my alarm goes off for Fajir. AlhumdulliahPrayer is just the thing I need right now. I lazily get out of bed and unlock my bathroom door. I open it quietly and slowly making sure the devil isn't using the bathroom. As I dont see Zaid, I run to the other side of the bathroom and lock his side of the bathroom door.
I see my engagement outfit still laying on the floor like I left it last night. Looking less beautiful. I walk over to pick it up and the scent of Zaid's car fills my nose and the sad, depressed and frustration I felt last night renters my mind. After folding the engagement dress, I use the bathroom, brush my teeth, put in my eye contacts, make wudu and straighten my hair. I have big frizzy curly hair and from yesterday my hair was still semi straight, It just needed to be touched up. I remembered, how I still didn't take a shower last night. After debating whether or not I should hop into the shower I decide to shower right after I get home from work. Still in my pajamas I head over to my room to change my clothes and pray Fajr salat.
"Today is going to be a good day" I say to myself
I might as well apply some eye makeup like mascara and a little gold eyeshadow. My outfit is a black blazer with a white shirt, black slacks and some heels. I decide to clip some of my hair back and let the rest fall.
It is 7:16 am and I run downstairs to grab a granola bar and a yogurt. As I walk pass the living room I notice my parents and Zaid sitting and drinking some chai.
"Where are you going" my dad asks
"Work" I say
"I thought you took time off" My mom asks in Hindi
"I decided to work today and tomorrow because I will be on my honeymoon the whole next week" I respond
"Aslamualkum, Bye" is the last thing said as I walk out the front door. I walk down the 3 steps and mentally face palm myself I should have checked the weather for today. My dumb self is wearing 3in heels on a cold icy day. BERRR its so cold and my car is also covered in ice great... I glace at my right arm and then my left arm and my purse is nowhere to be found. Perfect I left my purse and keys in the house. What an Idiot. I turn around and start walking up the 15ft pathway Where I hear the front door open and see Zaid dressed in a t-shirt and basketball shorts come outside with my purse, keys and an ice scraper.
"Baby it's cold outside why don't you stay home and be with me, I'll keep you warm" Zaid says
"I have work, thank you but I can keep myself warm"
"Well I have your purse and keys and your dad gave me this thing for the ice"
"its called an Ice scraper and for people that don't have garages or maids to warm up their cars we have to scrape the ice off our selves." I say in a harsh tone
"Who said I had a maid and don't be having that attitude with me I just came out to do your parents a favor."
"Thanks, but you can go back inside now"
"Let me help you scrape off the ice though"
Ignoring Zaid's comment, I carefully walk back to my car with Zaid right behind. I then take the keys from Zaid and unlock the car to turn it on, after putting my purse on the passenger's seat and turning the heater on high I get out of the car and start scraping the ice.
"I'm running a little late and I don't have time to teach you how to scrape the ice off the car maybe next time" I respond
"Fine I will just go back into the warm house with my warm cup of chai"
"Sounds good to me" I say in a fake voice
After scraping the ice for 4 minutes I go back inside the almost warm car.
