Chapter 2
After that talk I had with my family I still couldn't get it out of my head, all these things going through my head while driving to my work. Like how he looked, what he likes, does he have a 6 pack; will he be the prince I have been dreaming of, WILL HE LIKE ME? Because to be honest I'm not the most perfect girl, nor am I a model. I don't have the most perfect body or the best skin you know pimples pop up here and there, umm I suck at putting on makeup never know what foundation matches my skin or how to get the perfect winged eye liner look or even how to keep lipstick on it usually ends up on my teeth or on the glass of beverage I'm drinking I ussally go for Chap Stick. But I am a pro at mascara... SIKE I kinda suck at that too. Some features I have are my dimples, brown hair and well ummm uhhh my choice in food. Does that count?
The ride to work felt really long, well at least time was being nice to me and going slow it was 8:04 and I start my shift at 8:45. So much was running through my head like if I should go by the mall to buy some decent looking clothes to wear around my house while he's living with us. My closet consisted of some t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweat pants, hoodies, and my professional work clothes. Sure I had nice things like some nice pairs of jeans, shirts, dresses but those were things I would wear when I was out with my family or friends. I would look really weird wearing a long maxi dress with glitter all over it around my house.
8:33 was the time. I drove into the parking garage, got out of my blue Ford Fiesta and started walking to 4th Ave which was a 5 min walk 3 if you are walking fast from the crazy weather we have in Washington. Today wasn't that bad it was warm and sunny just how I liked it. I walked into the small clinic/ hospital I worked for and was greeted by Susan. Susan was a little old lady who baked the staff treats on Monday and Fridays, she was so cute and was the best / nicest person you would ever meet. "GOOD MORNING!!" Susan loudly greeted. "Morning" I said with a soft smile. "I BAKED COOCKIESSS, CHOCOLATE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS" Susan said. Ohhh yea I forgot to mention Susan is VERY LOUD, she has a hearing problem and sometimes forgets that not everybody in the world has that same problem. The staff consists of about 27 people. Alhumdullah it's mostly woman and middle aged men.

Lunch, walked to my favorite meditrain restaurant and ordered gyro and fries with some Vimto, since I'm desi Vimto isn't something you will find at my place very often. My lunch ended and had a really long thought full walk back. I can't get over him, I wonder if hes thinking about me. It would have been nice if my parents would have provided me with his name or some other kind of info about him...
Headed back to work half the day completed, the other half to go. After 4 clients my shift/day was OVER. I said my good byes to everyone and started walking back to my car just as I was about to open my door my phone rang it was my mom.
Convo:
Mom: Hello Yasmeen
Me: Hi Mom
Mom: I'm in your room and you have nothing to wear, you can't just be walking around the house in pajamas all day do yourself a favor and go to the mall or some place and pick up a few nice things to wear around the house I bought you something's also.
Me: okay, I was just thinking tha....
Mom: Okay, don't take too long and don't spend too much money. Love you BYE!
Typical phone call with my mom never lets you finish your sentence on the phone, I got in my car and drove off went to the nearest shopping center where theirs stores like Target, Macys, Nordstrom, Ross, etc. I walked into the large target and walked around the juniors section for about 30min, I had no idea on what to buy. After another 20min my cart was filled with a few simple long dresses and some decent looking shirts my cart was full of about 4 outfits I was getting really tired, that's when my mom called
Mom: Where are you?
Me: still looking I have about 4 outfits, how many more do I need?
Mom: You know Zaid is only staying with us for a week?
Me: (so that's his name zaid, Zaid, ZAIDDDD!!!!!!!)
Mom: Hello Yasmeen? Yasmeen!!
Me: YES, sorry I was just looking for something uhh never mind
Mom: Come home now 4 outfits is enough.
Me: okay I'll be there in 15min
Mom: Bye (then hangs up)
Standing in a long checkout line SUCKS because you are always are tempted to buy candy, gum, Chap Stick, breath mints and all kinds of weird things.
It was 8:48 and I finally reached my house, tiredly I got out of my car and carried the bags and XL sized candy bar in my hand, yeah I bought 3 XL candy bar I just couldn't resist they were staring at me and looked very very very sad, and they on sale for 3 for $3. Who could say no to that?
I opened to front door to see my house looking brand new, everything was rearranged and it looked bigger then it was before, the house smelt nice and new, my parents were running around cleaning, organizing, making sure things looked nice. My mom greeted me with a Salam and told me to go clean my room, I ran up stairs and started reorganizing my room, folded and put away the new clothes into my closet along with the clothes on my bed that my mom bought. After all that my room looked beautiful, not something out of a magazine but close. It was 10:52pm and my mom came in to tell me that I should get off of work earlyand maybe take the next week off if can since Zaid will becoming at around 2:30pm and staying with us for the week. "I'll see what I can do" I said tiredly and with a nod my mom left my room "Sweet dreams" my mom said before exiting my room. After being on YouTube for like 1hr I feel asleep with again the thought of Zaid.
