•Annabeth's POV•
I woke up and immediately realized something was wrong.
"Seaweed Brain?" I called out, into the darkness. Ugh, darkness, just the word reminds me of Percy's and I's time in Tartarus.
Still, no answer.
"Annabeth, help!" I jumped out of bed instantly.
"Percy?" I began to get nervous. "Percy, where are you?"
I had the blinds pulled down in the bedroom and the door closed because last night I had one of my killer migraines (an effect, thank you very much, of Tartarus). I opened up the door and light suddenly filled the room.
Here in Camp Half Blood, I was put in charge of building an area where older demigods, or just young adult demigods could live in peace. It was a Greek version of New Rome in the Roman camp, Camp Jupiter. So far, we had two running apartment buildings with 4 floors each, with a total of 5 units on each floor. Each apartment held a different theme, which, with the help of my good friend Leo, could automatically change from tenant to tenant. Percy's and my's apartment had two bedrooms, the master for Percy and I, with the other room as my office. The bedrooms were painted a coral blue and the kitchen/ living room area was a light grey. The window curtains were enhanced to change colors from teal all the way to purple, depending on the mood of the room. My office was designed personally by me, so my ADHD brain would know exactly where everything is. I work at home at the architectural company I set up for demigods building anything imaginable.
Right now, all that mattered was making sure Percy was okay.
Turns out, that Seaweed Brain is such a Seaweed Brain.
I walked into the kitchen and saw out the window, Percy?! He was writing in silly string on the window and apparently the weather was not cooperating.
"Annabeth! Help!" Percy pleaded.
He looked so cute when he was about to fall off the roof.
"Ok Seaweed Brain, but only if you tell me what you were doing out there?!"
Percy turned bright red and had a sheepish grin on his face. "Umm, Annabeth, I was gonna write a surprise on there for you."
"I don't really like surprises," I said, which was true. 'Surprises' found us everywhere in Tartarus.
"Fine, I guess it was meant to happen this way anyway." Percy got down on one knee, and before I knew it, tears were flying down my cheek.
"Annabeth Chase, when I first met you, you tried to kill me. Thank the gods you didn't because I wouldn't get to propose to the most beautiful, smart, brave, wonderful best friend in the whole wide world plus the Underworld. I love you so much Annabeth, so please, would you do me the honor of becoming your husband?" Percy finished.
I had no hesitation. "Of course, yes!"
Percy got up, slipped the ring on my finger and pulled me into a long, romantic kiss. "I love you, Wise Girl."
"I love you too, Seaweed Brain. But were you really gonna write all that on the window?" I asked, still with tears dripping down my face.
"I might of, if I didn't run out of silly string and Zeus probably almost ran me out of the sky."
"Well I haven't even looked at the ring yet!" I said, all of a sudden full of energy.
It had two interweaving bands, one most likely Imperial Gold, the other pure silver. Set in the middle was
a shiny diamond but engraved around it on the Imperial Gold band was 'Wise Girl' and on the silver one 'Seaweed Brain'. It was perfect.
Soon it would all come tumbling down.
