Chapter 11
When I turned around I saw somebody that I didn’t expect to help me, out of all the people he was the one who helped me.
“Oh it’s you” I said looking at Brent
“Yeah it’s me” he said looking anywhere but my eyes
I looked at him with a curios look playing on my face, I studied his expression trying to figure him out. Wait! Is he embarrassed? The idiot jerk is embarrassed, I can’t believe it. This totally made my day.
“Uh well thanks” I said smirking
“What’s with the look?” he said annoyed
“Nothing, that look on your face” I trailed “It’s very interesting, the bad boy... is embarrass?”
“Why are you embarrassed?” I asked, my eyebrows slightly furrowed
He looked at me like I was some kind of idiot, he gestured his hand for me to look at what he was wearing. I could feel a laugh growing in me, he gave me a ‘duh’ look and with that I burst out of laughter.
“I didn’t even notice” I said trying to breath
He was wearing a feathered outfit with an apron and holding a birds head, I glanced at the logo of the apron. He was working as an advertisement mascot for some chicken restaurant.
“Stop laughing and come with me” he said exasperatedly
I nodded and held on to my laugh, I followed him to the side of the mall. He took out a Ziploc and put ice on it.
“Here it’s for your arm” he said
I took it from him and gave him a smile “What no flirting? Teasing? Or whatever you do to annoy me”
“I gave up on that, got tired of chasing you. I’m not wasting my time trying to get one girl when I could have anyone in our school, beside you’re not even worth it”
“Ouch” I said putting my hand over my heart
