(Warning Spoiler Alert: So remember how I said I wanted this kiss to happen before part 8 *winks uncontrollably*)
It was Sunday and thanks to the internets hangover remedies Lydia was fine. Stiles and Lydia's parents were gonna be home early so Lydia taught Stiles how to cook.
They made dinner for their parents and we're now upstairs in Stiles room both of them covered in flour. Their parents were suppose to be home in a half hour.
Their conversation had ended and they were laying on the bed looking at the ceiling.
"Thank you by the way." Lydia said. Stiles looked over at her. "For what?" He asked. He knew she had said thank you last night but that could've been for a couple things.
"For punching that guy." Lydia said quietly. "No problem. I wouldn't have let him touch you." Stiles said. There was a pause and Lydia reached for Stiles hand.
They held hands for a minute. Then they both turned to look at each other. Stiles told himself over and over not to screw up.
Stiles bit his lip. Lydia looked down then back up. Stiles swore actual butterfly's were in his stomach. Lydia's heart raced faster, not as fast as Stiles' but not far off. They slowly leaned in. Then the door creaked open. They hadn't kissed yet. They were less then an inch apart. There standing in the doorway were their parents.
"What are you two doing?" The sherif asked. Stiles eyes rapidly went from Lydia to his dad.
"We came up here to" Lydia looked around and then she picked up the movie Stiles had rented off the floor "get this, and Stiles had something in his eye."
Stiles nodded. "Ok well can I ask why there's a bunch of food on the kitchen table?" Lydia's mom asked. "Well you guys were both coming in early so me and Lydia made dinner." Stiles said. "Lydia and I." His dad corrected.
With that they went down to eat. All Stiles could think about was Lydia the whole dinner. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. Lydia noticed but acted like she didn't.
~The next day~
Stiles walked into school with a sigh. "Monday..." He mumbled. He didn't like Mondays. But that was okay since half of the teenager population didn't like Mondays either.
He talked with Scott for a little about random things then went to his first class. This was actually one of his favorite classes because everyone was there. The whole group. Stiles even started to talk to this kid that sat next to him named Isaac
"Hey Stiles." Isaac waved at Stiles. Stiles nodded at him and sat down. "Hey, sup Isaac." Stiles said taking out a pen. "Nothing much." Isaac shrugged then clicked his pen. "Same." Stiles said getting out paper. "Cool." Isaac responded with a nod. This was what they did everytime they met.
"Isaac do you want to sit with us at lunch today?" Stiles asked. "Sure." Isaac shrugged.
Lydia was there sitting by Allison as usual. She blanked out on most of the lesson. She thought about Sunday and Saturday and all the days she had spent with Stiles.
She didn't know why. Maybe it was the warm look in his eye. She didn't even kiss Stiles and her heart beated faster then it ever had with Jackson. So Lydia stared blankly at the board trying to look as if she was paying attention.
The bell rang and she snapped back into the real world. As everyone started packing up the teacher kept talking. "Okay class today look up at the stars and write a two page report on what you see. It's due on Friday." Lydia heard this before she walked out of the classroom.
