Misunderstanding

Sasuke

"Still no Sakura?" My mother asked from my bedroom doorway. For the past few days I've been held up in my room, replaying everything that happened between Sakura and me. My mom sat on the edge of my bed, " You know you should talk to her. Sitting up here all day won't solve anything." She said. "Mom I'm not sure you understand. All this stuff that's going on...having her involved will just cause trouble for her..."
"And you?" She asked. Glancing sideways at her I sighed, "There's a guy out there who's after me and the Hyugas. Without Sakura in the picture he's less likely to go after her." I tried to explain but my mother was very stubborn.

"Sasuke...I understand more then you think. I know how you feel and I know how she feels, but pushing her away will only hurt you both."
"Mom....I."
"No talking just listen young man." She said sternly causing me to sit up straighter.

"Now every couple fights. You have to stop being so distant and cold toward the people who love you or else you'll end up a really lonely person." Her eyes started to tear up, "I don't want to see my son be all alone. Sakura is a nice, caring and a very beautiful young lady and if she loves you then it's up to you to give her something to love. It's up to you to be a gentleman toward her And for her, so now get your butt up, get dressed and go see her. Talk things out." She stood up walked toward the door but before walking out she stopped, "And the most important....show her how much she means to you." She left me sitting there thinking about everything she just said.

Standing up I changed my clothes. She's right, I need the ones I love by my side or else all this crap will drive me insane. I picked up my phone, dialed Sakuras number and waited. "Yawn...Hello?" She answered.
"Hey..." Was all I managed. An awkward silence followed until she said, "Sasuke?"
"Yeah...it's me. I called to ask if we could meet somewhere and talk." She was silent for a moment then she yawned again, "Sure. Where at and when?" I picked a place and thirty minutes from now. "I'll see you there." she said before hanging up.

Sakura

"It's ok. Just calm down." Ino said. I told her what had happened between Sasuke and me and now I sat crying in my room in the dark with my best friend at my side. "And he's being so stupid! He thinks pushing me away is the same as protecting me. He can't seem to understand I'm there to help, he doesn't have do all this alone but no..." I ranted. Ino petted my hair lightly, "Try to see things from his point of view..." She said. "So your on his side now?" I asked while wiping my eyes. She held up her hands defensively, "No. I'm just trying to help you get through this. You like him a lot and..."
"I love the idiot." I interjected. She nodded, "Exactly which is why I'm trying to help. He's just worried about your safety, granted he shouldn't push you away but still." I nodded in understanding. "Just give yourself and him some space. Until then let's watch this." She said going threw my dvd's. She put in Home Alone, "I love this movie. Tis the season right?" The entire time the movie was on my mind was on Sasuke. Ino and I ended up staying up all night watching movies.

I was woken up by my phone ringing, looking at the time I groaned. Trying not to yawn I clicked call without looking at the caller I.d. I answered with a hello which started with a very un lady like yawn. "Hey..." Oh crap...it was Sasuke. He called me, was he worried about me? Had he called to invite me over to have some fun? Ino rolled over and smacked my arm, 'Who's that?' she mouthed.
'Sasuke...Omg.' I mouthed back. Yawning again I fought the urge to smile especially when Sasuke said he wanted to meet some where and talk about what had happened. "Sure. Where at and when?" I asked. Waiting for him to finish talking I nodded, "I'll see you there." I said then hung up. Looking at a now fully awake but extremely bed headed Ino I said, "Ohmygod! He wants to meet and talk about what happened." I practically yelled. Ino smiled then playfully pushed me, "Great. Get your ass dressed. You've got a guy to get to. I didn't need to be told twice, excitement was obvious.
