Conviction and Pain

Sasuke pov

I sat in a plain room with a table, must be an interrogation room. The door opened and an older man came walking in. Sitting across from me he crossed his arms, "Well it's been a long...long time since I had an Uchiha in here." He said.
"Look I had nothing to do with what happened." I blurted. Instead of saying something like, "You can't deny it. We have you on tape." or something along those lines but he just started to laugh.

"Yes yes I know. Thanks to your father we know you haven't." I was baffled at the mention of my father. "Wh...What do you mean?" I asked.
"I'm not sure your brother talked to him one day then the next your father hired me to watch you. You see we are the proof that you had nothing to do with any of the things that happened." I felt relived, maybe that's why Itachi told me to not fight them, they had been watching this the whole time. "So your saying I'm free?" I asked. He nodded.
"We're just waiting on your ride, I'm sure they'll be here any minute but I want to tell you something first..."

"Ok what?" I asked. He rubbed his chin then shrugged, I know who it is who's getting away with all this. His names Orochimaru."
"So you know him?" I asked.
"Yes we were in Highschool together. I became a detective and he well...the bad news is we can't convict him either."
"Which means he will keep coming after us right?" I asked. I was sick and tired of his constant attacks on my friends and family. "Is there any possible way we can stop him?" I asked. Standing he shook his head, "Not legally no. But I'm sure things will work out. Right now if I remember correctly you have some where to be." right at that moment Itachi, Naruto and my beautiful cherry blossom burst threw the door.

Sakura practically jumped me, Naruto and Itachi waited for their turns. Hinata stood off to the side watching quietly with a smile. "I thought you were gonna be locked up for sure!!!" Naruto said.
"50 shades of prison rape." Itachi laughed. Sakura pulled me into a deep kiss, after we had to pull back she wiped away some tears. "I thought I wouldn't see you anymore. I was so scared." I hugged her.
"Let's go see Neji."I said. Itachi stopped me, "Uh bro....what about that snake?" They all looked at me waiting for my reply. "Forget him. Being there for Neji is more important."

Neji pov

I sat out in the waiting room along with our friends minus Naruto, Hinata and Sakura. I heard on the news that Sasuke was arrested for supposedly being the one who did this to Tenten but I knew better. The doctor came walking in with a clip board. He wore the look of a man who had seen a lot of sad things. "Umm...Mr.Hyuga. She wants to see you." He said. Lee squeezed my hand, "Tell her we said hi." Ino said. I nodded then stared at our friends who were kind enough to come and check on her.

Walking into the room the first thing I noticed was the blue blanket she held. Stepping closer she looked over at me and weakly smiled, "Hey..." She muttered. Her skin was pale and her once vivid chocolate brown eyes were dull and glazed over. "Come meet your son..." I looked from her to the blue blanket. Holding out my hands she lightly placed the warm bundle in my grasp. I held it close, it took me a moment for the realization to hit me. "H...His name is Hiyori Hyuga. I...I want you to take good care of him." She said as if she was going some where. Looking at her I said, "Wait...we'll take care of him together and once your better we can..." She touched my arm.

Smiling she shook her head, "I'm sorry but I....I won't be there so I need you to be there. I need you there for his first steps," She started to cry, "For his first word and his first day of school." Now tears were coming from my eyes, realization just hit me as to what she was saying. "I need you there for his first heartbreak and his first injury. He will need his father and on the days you think....think you can't make it just remember me." I sat on the edge of her bed and held her hand, she started squeezing it.

"I...I need you to promise me that Neji. Pro..." She coughed then took a deep breath in, "Promise me." Her eyes begged me to say it, to end her pain. Looking down at our baby I nodded, "Ok I promise." She nodded then smiled. "I love you..." I said. Her grip on my hand loosened, "I love you...." She started. Her hand dropped beside her. Looking at her I felt the tears fall, "Te....Tenten? Tenten!" The baby started to cry but it took everything I had not to sob to. Tenten was gone....that hit me hard. The only girl I loved gave me a beautiful baby boy and now she was gone.

Standing I shushed the baby but held him close. He was all I had left of Tenten, right away I could tell he had her nose. I leaned down and kissed her forehead, she looked so peaceful. Walking outside I was met by everyone. Sasuke, Sakura, Hinata, Naruto and everyone else stood there waiting. "Neji I'm sorry....how is she?" Sasuke asked. I tried to reply, I cussed myself for breaking down. Hitting my knees I clutched the baby close, I started to sob. Sasuke and Sakura were by my side. Everyone else gathered around and together we faced the joy of  the new Hyuga and the pain of losing a friend. We all cried and laughed and at the end of the day we would have each other's backs. I thank god for the friends I have now and the son I was blessed with.

*Three Weeks Later*

Sakura pov

"Alright class that's all for today. Have a good weekend." Kakashi said. Everyone stood and started making their way out to their cars or however they got home. "Ready Forehead?" Ino asked from the doorway of the classroom. Smiling I ran to her, "Let's go I'm sure Itachi is driving him crazy." I was of course talking about my handsome boyfriend. Today was his birthday and we all agreed to meet at his house after school. Three weeks ago the shares of the Uchiha company were sold off an unknown source, weather that's good or bad is yet to be seen.

Pulling up to Sasuke's house I ran inside. Naruto and Hinata were standing in the living room, Shikamaru, Garra, Mint and other's took up other parts of the house but still I searched for Sasuke. I decided that today would be the day. Finally I found him in his room, he stood talking to his father so I waited. "Oh Sakura there you are. I had something I wanted you to give Sasuke. Tell him that he's welcome and to no longer worry." Mint said while handing me an envelope. "Umm...ok?"I muttered.
"He's all yours." Sasuke's father said while he walked by.

Walking into the room I smiled and kissed Sasuke, "Happy birthday baby." he smirked. Looking down at the envelope he asked, "What's that?"
"Oh Mint gave it to me and told me to tell you your welcome and to not worry." I said while handing it to him. He opened it pulled out a piece of paper then laughed. "What?" I asked. I grabbed the paper and started to read. The words filled me with joy, Mint had bought all of the shares before Orochimaru could and she gave them all to Sasuke as a birthday present. "Wow..." I said.
"There goes my present. I can't beat that." I muttered. Sasuke made me look at him, "And what exactly is your present?" He asked with a sexy tone. I pulled him closer and whispered in his ear, "Me."

Pulling back he kissed me deeply. From the doorway we heard laughter, I pulled back and blushed, there stood all our friends. "Yeah 50 shades darker!!" Itachi yelled then Konan playfully smacked him. We all laughed, Sasuke kissed me again. "I love you Sakura Haruno." I smiled, never had I been happier, kissing him one last time I knew everything was going to be ok now.
