A strong spirit

The next day I was helping grandmother ( the old lady) and everyone make food, I wasn't the best, but hey I could still learn. I was amazed at how everyone helped each other, and the happiness on their face it filled me with joy that I had a big smile without knowing it until everybody stopped what they were doing and stared at me until Aladdin told me,

" WOW! Miyuki I have never seen you smile so bright this is the first time I've seen you smile like that!" He exclaimed I gave him a puzzled look and asked myself if I've never smiled before. As everyone complimented me I blushed and I tried to hide it. Then, I went outside to train for a little.

Minutes past and I still couldn't get the idea of my head, what Aladdin said, now that I think about it I've never smiled or laughed in this past 12 years although I smiled with the kids at the slums, but I felt that it wasn't my actual smile this felt real, my heart felt warm in so many ways.

I felt someone's eyes behind me, I looked upward and I saw a dark figure, but it was gone by the time I got a good look.

I trained and trained and trained that my clothes were soaked with sweat by the time I noticed. I also saw white butterflies, I believe Aladdin said they were called white ruhk, anyway they were everywhere surrounding me and everything around me it was so beautiful that I stared in awe that warm feeling came back and I smiled and whispered to them "thank you".

For some reason, I felt my parent's presence and when I turned around I saw their smiling faces. A tear escaped my eye as they became one with the ruhk and went away.

Next day

The next day I and Aladdin were walking around talking, Aladdin wanted to go and look for our friends but also he wanted to make sure that the people of the village wouldn't get hurt by the Kou empires troops so we waited.

At night we all gathered together, ate, and talked. Grandmother told us that no matter what happens we must not fight the Kou that we would join the Kou empire. Everyone was upset but soon they understood. As we all were together talking, grandmother went for a walked and she took too long Aladdin had the same thought since the worried expression on his face said it all. We got up and looked for her and then we found her on the floor with an arrow on her back.

I ran towards her as fast as I could, and asked her if she was OK,
She had passed out and then the other villagers came running and saw what happened when we heard a scream we took grandma and rushed back and all the girls had been kidnapped by the Kou. Something within me was making me angry, stirring my emotions. I had to protect this village this new home were grandma and everybody accepted me and Aladdin. I had to protect, no more hurting the people close to me.

I grabbed my katana and a horse, before I could go other men wanted to join me and I let them I knew how they felt, I was the only women within men who wanted to fight, but grandma pleaded us not to hurt, her words touched me I looked at Aladdin and grandma, as I headed towards the direction were those bastards had gone to.

We soon caught up with them, I was so determined to save them they showed me how to cook and something called looking cute they were special to me. I could see from afar how one of the bastards who kidnapped her was the vice commander and he was pulling her hair. Enraged I hurried leaving everyone behind, although they didn't mind since they were busy avoiding the arrows that were shot at them. I got close enough to get on the caravan I knocked out some of the guards, without killing anyone. When I entered the caravan I saw the bastard commander cutting some of the girl's hair and smirking.

"Arrogant bastard!!!" I yelled raising my sword when suddenly I heard grandmother's voice in my head to not kill anyone. I stopped my movement, but at that moment that bastard stabbed me taking the opportunity. I punched him hard, as he passed out we saved the girls. I was about to get off the caravan when someone grabbed me, it was the commander. I was about to end his generation by kicking him in the balls, but he knocked me out before I could do anything. I heard Aladdin yelling my name as it faded.

When I came to I woke up in a room, to my surprise it was as if it was a princess's room.

" oh you're awake," a feminine voice said

I turned and saw the princess looking towards my direction smiling at me

" I'm really sorry about what my soldiers did, for kidnapping you " she said sincerely

" well they did kidnap me and other girls, we saved them without killing your soldiers to evade war, although what they did to chagan I will never forgive them" I said angry

" wait they attacked one of the kogas?!!! They told me that they found a mysterious girl and decided to take her since it could be a spy, but I never knew they would do that, I shall talk to them now" she said

She looked so strong and independent, I followed her as she talked to her soldiers only to get betrayed. She and her right-hand man or woman and I ran away. I decided to take her to Koga village but when we arrived, some of the kogas were surrounding the entrance, they blamed the princess for harming chagan, I wanted to say something but she stopped me. She was amazing as she spoke even tho every time she got shot by an arrow.

Out of nowhere chagan appeared and I could see that she wasn't healed yet, to her right I saw Aladdin with a worried look, I rushed to grandmas side as she declared to the princess that she accepted their offer.

The next thing that happened was an army full of the kous empire soldiers and at bastard was leading them. The princess fought her own soldiers since they wouldn't listen, and what surprised me was that she had a metal vessel just like Alibaba, I went to her side and fought beside her. I took some men without killing still keeping my promise. I could see that the princess couldn't keep this up and then she transformed into something so powerful, she whispered some words that all I could hear was " reside within me" and then bam. She was so powerful, but I could see the butterflies flying away from her she was losing ruhk at the same time.

When everything looked OK we were surprised by more soldiers, at that moment Aladdin jumped in and touched the princesses fan and a big lady appeared just like Ugo.

We fought and fought without killing and in the end, we won, the Kou empires royal soldiers took the bastard away for betraying the princess. As she left, we went back to the village and tried healing chagan.

Me and Aladdin were a few meters away from her as we watched her children sob, granny had passed away. I couldn't cry I did not know why, I did not feel sad and I could see Aladdin was the same. I felt a warm presence behind me and I saw chagan just like my parents she was now part of the ruhk Aladdin saw this too and chagans last words were what made us shed tears.

" you will always be my children," she said as she faded away

We cried that night as if there was no tomorrow...

The next day

We were about to leave, I carried my katana, my mothers ring, and also chagans favorite necklace that she had gotten as a gift from my mother. It was silver like my hair with a tear like gem that was blue like my eyes. Aladdin had inherited her staff, the Koga villagers wanted us to keep this as a memento since it would have made grandma happy.

We said goodbye and left on a caravan. We knew we had a home here with friends, now we headed towards Balbbad.
