I was in the kitchen facing Lyla’s wrath.  Her curly hair was unruly; I’m surprised they didn’t stick up in every direction.  Her little cheeks were flushed pink, her blue eyes were now a stormy blue color and I was expecting for her head to start doing a 360 like that girl from Excorcist.

“Come on Lyl,  I really am sorry. I  was really attacked by Taylor Lautner fanatics.” I said desperately trying to get on her good side.

“I don’t care Dim Dim.” She said turning her pert little nose in the air, not acknowledging my presence.

I let out an exasperated sigh.  “Look, I’ll make it up to you princess you’ll see. I have an idea, how about you and I go see Elmo and the rest of the crews at sesame place next week.  Would you like that?”  I saw her eyes immediately brighten up and I knew I got to her.

“YAY!  Oh my gooshness! I have to go and tell my friends! They’ll be so jealous.” She said bouncing down from her chair.  I let out a sigh of relief as she walked out the door.

“Is she gone?” Jake said poking his head out of the living room.  I nodded at him and watched him cautiously make his way towards me. I laughed at him as he uneasily slide into the now vacant chair.

“I can’t believe that you are scared of your 4 year old daughter.” I said

“Yea, well if you lived with her and her mother, you would understand definitely understand.” He said shuddering

“Whatever you say my man.” I said smiling

“Now tell me about that girl of yours. Your saying you’ve seen her two times and both times there were no sign of recognition on her part?”  He said getting down to business.

“Yea. Not only is her personality different, but her name also changed.  She said her name is Analia.  This is weird.”

“Hmm. Well this is something we definitely need to look into.  And you said you marked her right?” He asked rubbing his cheek

            “Yeah, I did.”

“Well at least we know where to start looking. Go enjoy the party while I make a few phone calls.  I need to get as much info as I can on that Tony guy.” He said getting his phone out.

“All right, I’m gonna go find my little monster.” I said heading out the door.

“You and that Lyla.” He said chuckling

I smiled and stepped out the door, letting the screen door slam close.  I felt something small slam  into me then felt two small arms circle around my legs.  I bend down and raise Lyla’s chin.

“What’s wrong Lyl? Tell uncle Dim Dim who made you cry.” I said soothingly picking her up.

“Marina is being mean to me.  She said that your gonna marry her sister. That’s not true right Dim Dim?” she said looking at me with big watery blue eyes, bottom lip quivering.

“Of course not monster.” I assured her. She smiled and hugged my neck. I laughed and made my way to the guys to see what the commotion was about. As I got closer to them I realized that there was a girl with them.  My heart stopped and started to beat againg at a faster rate.
