Waking Up to You...

It’s been three days.  Three agonizing days since the accident and Dima still didn’t wake up.  I tried to get the guys to bring him to a hospital but they refused; nothing worked on them, I even threatened to cut their precious jewels off and still they refused.  I let out another sigh and stood up from the chair by Dima’s bed; I did a few stretches and tried to relax my aching muscles.  I looked around the room and smiled.

The room was really nice.  The whole thing was painted a light gray color, the ceiling was painted white. The bed was in the middle of the room; it was huge and it was covered with dark gray and black sheets. The head board was a black and shiny.  It was the length of the wall and also served as a night stand.  There was huge window behind the bed; it had white drapes covering it.

The floors were covered with mahogany colored woods what were shiny.  There was a strip of carpet, which was under the bed; it was a white furry kind which spread out further then the bed.  I’m guessing it was placed there to draw the eye to the bed.

There was a wall that was fully covered by full length a mirror, which was my favorite part of the room, there was another set of mirrors place on the wall opposite to it which allowed one to see the front and back view. (Super cool right)

There was set of the door on the opposite wall of the bed which led to a huge walk –in closet (I envied him). There were two lamps, each placed on the end of the headboard.  There was a desk and one of those all in-one touch screen computer placed on it, there was a really comfortable looking black chair by the bed, which has been my bed these past three days.

And last but not least was the coolest part of the room.  The TV. Now this is perhaps the first time I’ve seen something like this.  There were two ways to access the tv, one was by pressing a button on the remote, the other was pressing  flicking a switch which was on the wall.  once one of these things where pressed, the TV would then slide out of the ground.  Don’t ask me how it is done because I am still asking myself that question.

I felt my phone vibrate in my backpocket and I picked it up.

            “ Hey”

            “Hey Ana, how are you?”

“Oh hey Cara. “ I said cringing, feeling terrible for having lied to my best friend about my whereabouts.

“So how is the trip going, when are you coming back?”

“Um yea, about that, um I lied about the trip.” I quickly jammed out .

“YOU WHAT?! ANALIA DOLORES VOLCAN! HOW COULD YOU!” She screamed in my ear.

“Oh god, calm down Cara it’s not that serious.” I whispered yelled at her, looking towards  the bed to see if I woke Dima up.  “Look don’t worry okay, I’m with Tony, I’ll be home soon okay, Bye Love you!” I said quickly ending the call.

“Jeesh!” I grumbled as I made my way back to the bed.  I reached out a hand stroked his cheek.  I let out a sigh and got into the bed with him.  I slid under the sheet and snuggled closer to him.  I have been doing this every night since the first, I would sleep on the chair and when I got uncomfortable I got in next to him.  I tightened my arm around his torso and let out a blissful sigh. I placed a kiss on his cheek and pressed my face to his neck.

“Please, wake up Dima.” I murmured. “I don’t know how long I can go on without seeing those beautiful eyes of yours.”

I let out another sigh and immediately fell into a bliss filed asleep.

I was in a deep sleep.  It was the type of sleep that my kind went through when in the healing process.  I had no sense of time, no sense if days.  I didn’t if it was night or day.  The place I was in was always pitch black, there was no sound, no color no light.  It was just me and my inner self allowing the goddess to heal and nurture me and my wounds.

“Please wake up… Please” A soft melodic voice whispered.

It’s her, it’s my angel.  I thought to myself.  Ever since I slipped into this place her voice has kept me company.  She spoke to me, yelled at me and even went as far as threaten me when I first got here. I felt myself smile as I remembered what she said to me the first time.

“You idiot; why did you do it?  She said in an angry tone. Why did you get in the way?  When you wake up I swear I’m going to hurt you so bad you’ll sleep into a coma.”

Because I love you!  I screamed at her, but of course she didn’t hear me, she was too far away.

“I don’t know how long I can go on without seeing those beautiful eyes of yours….”

She loves me! My angel loves me. I thought to myself. It took only those words to help me overcome the sleep.  I tried to lift my hand but I was unable to, I frowned and opened my eyes.  I tried to find what was restraining my arm from moving; I looked down and saw my angel laying wrapped tightly around me.  Her hand intertwined with mines, snoring softly with her face in the crook of my neck.  I smiled and lift up my free hand; I stroked her soft skin and placed a kiss at the top of her head.

I felt her shift beside me.

“Ana?” I whispered, my voice hoarse from being unused.  She froze and slowly lifted her head.  I sucked in a breath at her appearance.  She had dark circles under her eyes, her skin, usually a beautiful caramel color, looked pale.  Her beautiful eyes were dimmed.

“Dima?” she said hesitantly. “YOU’RE AWAKE!” she screamed flinging her arms around me in a tight embrace. “I was so worried about you.  Are you okay? Does anything hurt?” she said releasing me.

“No,” I said shaking my head.  “I’m okay, I feel great actually.” I told her smiling.

“Good then I wont feel bad for doing this.” She said as she delivered a punch to my jaw. I looked at her with a shocked look on my face.

“what was that for?” I asked

“That was for being an idiot and this,’ she said twisting my ear, ‘is for scaring the daylights out of me.” She stood on the bed glaring at me.

“I’m sorry angel, but I couldn’t let anything happen to you.” I said shrugging.

“whatever, just don’t do it again.” She said rolling her eyes. “I’m going to get the others.”

“NO! I mean stay with me” I said grabbing her hand. “Please,” I said when she looked hesitant. “Just let me hold you for a little while longer.”

“Okay” she said with a look of understanding in her eyes.   She laid down on top of me.    “I need to hold you too.  You have no idea how hard these past few days have been to me.” she said shivering.

“I know,” I murmured in her hair. “I’m sorry for putting you through this.  You don’t deserve that.”

“Don’t apologize dumbo, you’re the one that got hurt because of me. I should be apologizing.” She said lifting up her head to smile at me. She planted a kiss to my lips and laid her head back on my chest.

This is how it should be. I thought to myself.  I laid there listening to her heartbeat, allowing mines to follow that same pattern until we both fell asleep.
