seven:Old Friends

"Aaron." I say chuckling.
"I'm just saying she deserved it." He smiles. Turns out I don't have feelings for him anymore and he doesn't have anymore for me.
"Wait I need to tell you something." I say all serious.
"What?"
"I got a text last night. And it's got to be either Alexis or Nate,because Alexis is something to Hayes. I'm not sure if they're officially dating,but they've been on a couple of dates,and Nate called me earlier yesterday. I'm just confused."
"Let me read it." Aaron says.
I give him my phone and explain everything,I agree with Shawn,you need to tell Hayes. He might be getting into something he doesn't need to be in."
"You mean like a relationship with Alexis?"
"Duh."
"Well if he starts asking advice on how to start dating I'll start telling him some then." I say.
"Whatever,Kace,now let's go to Kroger to get Starbucks and some items to prank my brother with." Aaron says excitedly.
I laugh and say,"Sure."
"I love this song!" He yells.
"That's great." I say.
"You're a fun killer." He says.
"Whatever." I smile.
Once we get to Kroger I spot Kaya and Tessa. I walk over to them and start talking with them,obviously,and then Kaya asks who I'm with.
"So who came here with you?" Kaya asks.
"Ummm...Aaron." I say quietly.
"Kace,I thought you guys were done."
"We're still close friends,Ky,we have no feelings whatsoever."
"Okay,because I already know who your perfect guy would be."
"And who is that?"
"No tell."
"Okay,well I'll see you later." I say.
"Bye,Kaecie."
"Bye,Kaya."
I walk over to Aaron and just stand there quietly.
"So,Kace,I met this girl and she wants to have lunch. Could I drop you back by the coffee shop to get your car?"
"Yea,totally. Hope you have fun! What's her name?"
"Alexis."
I just sit and blink,"Okay."
Maybe it's a different Alexis,because he knows her and what she did to me.
"Thanks for bringing me back,see you soon." I get out of his truck and walk to my car.
I drive back to the hotel,and look in the tiny closet getting my guitar.
I start strumming and eventually start playing a song.
It's too cold for you here
So let me hold
both your hands in the holes of my sweater.
"That was good." I turn and see Hayes.
"Thanks,so what're you doing here?" I ask.
"Well,I'm never doing anything and neither are you."
"True."
"I have a question." Hayes says.
"Shoot." I tell him.
"So I have this party tomorrow night and I need a date. Could you go with me,as friends?" Hayes asks.
"Yea totally." I smile at him.
We talk for about two hours and end up watching Netflix.

When I wake up,I look at the time,8:39,and I see Hayes fast asleep.
He's so cute,while he's asleep.
What am I saying? Do I like him?
You don't have to like someone to think their cute.
But you have to like someone to think they're cute.
True,wait why am I talking to myself?
"What time is it?" Hayes yawns.
"It's 8:45." I tell him.
"I'm going back to sleep. Please make it darker in here?"
"Want me to turn the lamp off?"
"That's a start." He says and I turn the lamp off and decide to go back to sleep,too.

When I wake up for the final time,Hayes's arm around my waist,but I slowly peel myself from his arm and go get a shower.
Once I'm out I put on some lazy clothes and see Hayes laying in the bed on his phone.
"Morning." I tell Hayes.
"Hey,Kace. Can I take a shower here?"
"Yea that's fine,do you have clothes?"
"In my car,I had them for something and ended up not wearing them." He says.
"Oh I do that all the time,but yea you can shower."
While he's down getting his clothes I start my makeup,and go for a very minimal look,since I have the party thing tonight.
Hayes gets his shower,and we go to Golden Corral for breakfast.
"Good job." I laugh.
"I didn't mean to." He laughs along.
"You hit the poor girl with a grape,at least you should have asked if she wanted anything."
"That's a good idea,let me go find her." He says running trying to find the little girl.
"Well I'll see you tonight,Hayes." I laugh.
"I'll pick you up at 4:30 okay? The party is an hour away and we have to be there a little early if we want to socialize." He says.
"Okay see you tonight!" I say and he drives away. I walk to my car and text Kaya.
Me: can you stay at Tessa's one more night? I'm going to a party tonight with Hayes
Kaya💙: yea I can and oooooh😏 getting serious are we?
Me: as friends
Kaya💙: that's what they alll say but love you have fun.
Me: love you bye
And then I drive to the mall,because I don't feel like doing my own hair and makeup for the party.
So I walk around until I found Sephora.
"Hi,I would like my makeup to be done." I tell one of the workers.
"How would you like it done?" She asks as I sit in the chair.
"Not too bold,but I have a party tonight."
"Great,I know what would make you look great!"
Once that was done I find a salon called Styled Perfection and I tell them basically what I told the Sephora lady and she makes my hair look gorgeous,and now to the dress shop!
