[Y/N]'s POV
I woke up the next morning, snuggling next to Brendon. I was still tired, but forced myself out of bed to take a shower; taking a shower was always a good way to clear my mind of anything I was thinking about. As I was washing my hair, I couldn't help but think about how fast I was moving with him. If I was with any other person, I wouldn't have been in that situation! I wasn't feeling regret or shame... I honestly didn't know what I was feeling. I shrugged it off and finished getting all of the conditioner out of my hair.
When I stepped out of the bathroom, I saw Brendon exactly where he was when I left, sleeping with his face smushed into a fluffy pillow. Although, considering how comfortable he looked, I would've still been sleeping, too. I let him be, and used this time to get some food and read. Something I've learned about Brendon over the time we've been together is that he can't let someone read in peace; he'll either bug you until you put your book down or annoyingly read over your shoulder, even though he has no clue what's happening in the book. I checked the time and saw that it was 7.30 exactly. I usually woke up around nine, same as Brendon, so I had about an hour and a half to read. I made some tea and grabbed my book, and sat down cross-legged on the couch. I was pleasantly reading my book for sometime over an hour before I heard "[Y/N}, where are yoouuuuu???" coming from Brendon's room.
"I'm on the couch."
"Why are you all the way over there?? Come over heerrre." I sighed, but didn't move.
"I'm in the middle of a chapter and I really wanna know what happens. Gimme like... ten minutes." I thought he was fine with my answer when he didn't respond, but I heard shuffling a minute later. I looked up to see Brendon slowly making his way over to the couch wrapped in a blanket, and I couldn't help but smile. In the back of my mind, I was thinking about how our relationship might change, but I knew nothing major changed after seeing him trying to move around in a giant blanket. "Morning." I smiled.
"Good morning. I thought I was gonna be waking up next to your beautiful self." Brendon pecked me on the cheek before making his way over to the kitchen.
"Aw, maybe next time." I laughed. I took another look at him and raised an eyebrow, "Have you taken a shower yet?" He shrugged while taking a sip of hot coffee. "Brendon..." I sighed, "Go take a shower." He glared at me before chugging the rest of his coffee and went back to his room, dragging his feet. At least I could finish the chapter, now...
Brendon took a quick shower and came back out wearing his glasses, a dark grey tank top, and a pair of black skinny jeans. "Better?"
"Much" I smiled back. I put down my book and thought about what day it was. "Hey, is today the 21st or 22nd?" Brendon checked his phone from his pocket.
"It's the 22nd. Why?"
"Just wondering. Thanksgiving is on the 26th, ya know." His eyebrows raised, like it was a complete shocker. "So, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?" I walked over to the wall closest to him and leaned against it.
"Um, I was just gonna invite Zack over and we could have dinner with him. You haven't met him yet, and we used to hang out pretty much everyday."
"Yeah, I guess." Brendon didn't seem satisfied with my response, but I wasn't with his. "Ya know, I haven't met your parents yet, either." he immediately tried changing the subject.
"Instead of talking about something happening nearly a week from now, why don't we talk about last night?" I nonchalantly shrugged my shoulders.
"What's there really to talk about?"
"Well-" I cut him off before he could say anything more.
"It was amazing, if that's what you're wondering." Brendon smiled and laughed.
"Thanks, but no. I was thinking about how everything happened. I don't exactly know how to put it, but you seemed kind of uncomfortable, at first." I didn't quite understand what he meant, and asked him to clarify. "Well, considering everything... I was wondering if that was your first time?" he paused between some of his words, like he was choosing them very carefully. I stared at him blankly, and nodded my head. "Wait, really? [Y/n], if I knew that was your first time, I wouldn't have taken it so fast! I thought you had-"
"It's fine, really. I wouldn't have wanted anything to go differently." I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, "I loved it." He leaned in to kiss me, but I cut it shorter than usual. "Now, that that's over with, we can discuss our Thanksgiving plans!" Brendon sighed, but agreed. "Is it just gonna be the three of us, then? We're definitely seeing your parents for Christmas, so don't think you're getting out of that."
"I'm not trying to get out of seeing my parents. But, I don't want you to be pushed into meeting them."
My expression changed to an "are you kidding me?" look. "We just had sex, and now you're worried about moving too fast?" His face became crimson and he flashed an unsecure smile at me. "Besides, you're twenty-eight. Shouldn't your parents expect you to be in a relationship?" He nodded.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Fine. But, we're having Zack over either a day before or after Thanksgiving." I happily nodded and pecked him on the lips. He went to go call Zack, and then his parents. Both were happy with our plans, and Thanksgiving then left our thoughts. I continued reading my book, and Brendon made himself breakfast.
After he was done eating, and I had finished most of my book, we thought we should finally go outside and do something. Once I thought about it, I realised that I hadn't gone outside for a couple days (oops). "We could talk a walk through the park a few blocks away." I agreed and went off to get ready. I put on the first clean band shirt and skinny jeans I found, brushed my teeth and hair, and slipped on a beanie. On your way out the door, I noticed that Brendon was thinking that we were gonna walk there. My lazy thoughts emerged their way into my mind. "Haha, no. I already have to go outside, what makes you think imma walk?" my thoughts became vocalised through a groan, and I was given a strange look by Brendon.
"Something wrong?" I looked at him and didn't need to say anything. "Oh, come on. It's not that far! Besides, it'll be nice. Today's the perfect weather; it's sunny and warm." I sighed, but agreed. He was right, it was beautiful outside. We were only about three blocks away from the park, and we walked hand in hand the entire way. For the first time in my life, I felt like things were perfect. I felt carefree and as though my life couldn't get any better. Brendon was the light at the end of my dismal tunnel. No matter how cheesy that sounds, it was exactly how I felt.

Brendon's POV
The comforting warmth of the sun made our stroll even better. I was already walking and holding hands with someone I care for deeply. Before getting to the park, I could see it from around the block. "See, it's right over there. That wasn't far at all." [Y/N] laughed.
"Yeah, I guess not." Her face beamed when she saw the park. "Swings!" She pulled me along as she started running across the street. She went right over to the swings and hopped on an open one. She quickly started to swing higher, kicking her legs coordinatedly. I went behind her far enough so I wouldn't get hit, but I was still able to push her. She was on the swings for a while, when she wanted to do something else. I stopped pushing her and tried to slow her down. After that, we walked around, climbed some trees together, got ice cream, and began walking back home. We had spent practically the whole day at the park, and it was getting dark when we were on our way back. "This was a really lovely day. Thank you." [Y/N] smiled sweetly and interlocked my hand with hers. We weren't really hungry since we just had ice cream, so we wanted to wait a while before making dinner. We decided to watch some tv while waiting for us to want food. She let me pick the show, and I turned on The Leftovers, which she hadn't seen before. Even though I was two episodes away from being done with season two, I started from the first episode so she could get into the show. Halfway into the third episode, we got hungry.
"I've already seen this. So, I'll make dinner and you can keep watching." I could tell that she was only partially listening to me because of how engrossed in the show she was. It's one of my favourite shows, so I was more than happy with her liking it as much as she did. I went for something simple and make pasta, which both of us liked pretty well. Plus, it doesn't take long to make. I served some onto two plates and brought them over to the couch. Usually, we wouldn't be eating here, but I wanted to make this a relaxing night.
After finishing the sixth episode, we decided to call it a night. It was close to midnight, so it was pretty late. We were also both tired from being outside the majority of the day. [Y/N] put away and washed the dishes, while I changed the bed sheets and put clean ones on. She normally sleeps in the guest/her room, but I wasn't sure what was going to happen tonight. She came into the room, saying "goodnight", while I was finishing brushing my teeth. I said "goodnight" back, and she went to her room. I was bummed that she wasn't going to be sleeping with me tonight, but then I saw her come back in pajamas. She jumped into my bed and snuggled under the covers. I smiled and followed, getting into my bed and wrapping my arm around her. I thought she was going to sleep, but she took out her phone. I don't know how long she was on it for, as I fell asleep pretty quick.
