There was one night. I was certain that I am alone because it was holiday. I was in campus alone due to my unfinished finals. My housemates were off to their hometown.

Its raining. Thunder rumbling. I can still remember the sound of the strong wind that night. The dead trees outside my window seem like dancing, as if it was worshiping in some rituals. Its shadow really looked like something with sharp claws trying to reach the window. Dark.

I must be overthinking. I love to read horror novels and hate to watch ones movies. Well, overthinking was one of my speciality despite my cowardy self.

It was weekend so far as I remembered. I was studying for my Molecular Spec paper which would be sitted in the next morning. I am a midnight oil burner. So, I stayed up until the exam itself.

It was 2.45 am. My room was dimmed, the only light source was my table lamp. I used to study in that environment because it managed to calm me down and boost my study mood. As I flipped my notes,

Knock knock ...

I checked my phone in case my friend is coming and he should've texted me first. There was no text. So, I opened the door and found out there was nobody.

My living room was dark, my housemates room too. There was no sense of any human around. That was when I feel it. Somebody was sitting on my living room coffee table.

I must be over thinking again. So, I switched on all the light and get back to my room. Studying. I texted my friend to speed up his driving from the mall and come to me. I am getting scared to be honest.

Knock knock

F***! What again?! I slapped my face just in case I was dreaming that I was inside one of the horror novels I used to read. No. I am totally awake.

Knock knock

I saw shadows under the door. Standing still, waiting for me to open the door. Now was even scary because, my door knob started to be shaken.

I must be overthinking again. Little did I know that my gut was real. I opened the door slowly and suddenly a strong windy force pass by me. My face felt cold. The wind was cold. And again, nobody. There was nobody.

But then I remember. In one of those books I've read.

"After several mysterious knocking without having any human presence in front of the door, it must be something. Something that tried to enter. To dwell.  Once you opened the door, the cold wind can be felt and they were in. In your room, or anywhere you could've been now"

Was it inside my room now? What should I do? It could be sitting on my closet looking down at me grinning.
