I walked over to the couch, dropping my bag on the floor before lying down.
I really hated therapy. But if my mom says to do something, you do it. That woman urghs’ me.
I basked in the silence, happy not to be in that dull therapy room. Moses, my white and orange kitten, decides then to run across the wood floor, as loud as an elephant, and make a landing on my lap.
I laughed at him, petting his back and listening to his loud, but somehow soothing purrs.
"You're just a monster?" I asked him, smiling down at his little blue eyes. "Are you hungry?" He stood up on my lap, cocking his head at me. Then jumped off the couch, waiting for me to follow.
Moses likes to think he's a dog. He even likes to go for walks, oddly enough. Although, he absolutely hates dog food. I should know; I learned it the hard way.
I poured him some dry food into his bowl, and then pulled out some top ramen and a pan for myself.
Once the water was boiling and the noodles were in, I started to sing.
"Sun tanned toes tickling the sand, cold drink chilling in my right hand," I sang softly, shaking my hips to the beat while stirring the noodles. "Watching you sleep in the evening light, resting up for a long long night," I took the wooden spoon from the pot and wiped it off, getting it ready for the chorus.
"Cuz when the sun goes down we'll be grooving, when the sun goes down, we'll be feeling alright, when the sun sinks down, over the water, everything gets hotter when the sun goes down!" I yelled, dancing around the kitchen, not noticing the spilt water from the pot. So naturally I slipped backwards, landing on my ass.
"Ow!" I yelled, immediately slapping my hand over my mouth, not wanting people to hear.
I looked over at Moses, but he didn't even realize that I had fallen.
I rolled my eyes at him, getting up and grabbing my noodles.
Twenty minutes later I was sitting on my bed looking t the ceiling, listening to a song called orphan tears. It was catchy but really stupid. I was so absorbed with the song, that when my phone rang I jumped up in the air at least ten feet. Okay exaggeration but that's what it felt like.
"Hello?" I asked hesitantly.
"Hi Ry, sorry I didn't tell you but yes I got a job! It's pretty cool but the boss is the kind that rides my ass and-"
"Okay, Willow, you seriously need to calm down," I said smiling at how fast she had talked.
"Sorry."
"You also need to stop saying sorry."
"S- I apologize," Willow said giggling.
"Wow. You found a loophole," I said, holding back my own laugh.
"Yeah so you ready for the English test tomorrow? I heard it's brutal."
"Nope, I'm not. But then again, I'm never ready. How come you always ask?" I asked her curiously.
"Oh, well I ask because it's a great conversation starter." Willow stated.
"Uh-huh. So how are you and your boy toy?"
"Rick isn't a boy toy, he's a man toy. We are great and tonight he's taking me somewhere special!" She said, squealing with excitement.
"Well you better be careful, and don't do anything you don't want to do."
"Okay mom. I got to go, he's gonna be here soon. See you tomorrow," Willow said, hanging up.
I flipped my phone closed and set it on the cheap looking bedside table. I got up, going to my dresser to get pajamas. I pulled out black sweats and a blue tank top and got in the shower. I enjoyed the feel of the warm water running down my sore back, but something kept gnawing at me. I couldn't stop thinking about Sin; he was just in my thoughts without trying; his sexy smirk and- no. I can't think of him like this, it isn't fair to me or him.
I got out, briskly drying myself off and heading off to bed, curling up with Moses.

"So, tell me more about this man you met at a bus stop. Is he hot?" Willow asked over the phone, anticipating my answer.
"Willow!"
"Sorry, just an innocent question."
"Well, I'll tell you more when I get to the cafe, okay?"
"Okay. See yah, bye." I now regretted telling her that I had met a really annoying guy at the bus stop.
I grabbed a granola bar and some money for coffee, throwing on my coat and walking out the door. To no surprise, Sin was there too, in all his glory, locking up his own apartment. I groaned internally, but then lightened up. All I have to do is lock up and walk away like I didn't notice him.
"Hey Ry," Sin said, walking up to me. I don't think I locked up quick enough. It was stupid for me to even think of walking away without him noticing.
"Hi Sin," I muttered back, walking away, slightly leaning to the left, trying to support the weight of my overloaded bag. Suddenly the weight was off my shoulder, I glanced up to see Sin putting my sling bag over his shoulder. I smiled up at him, "Thanks Sin, I seriously need to go through that, I definitely don't need all that crap."
He smirked back at me, falling into step with me, "It's the least I can do for a pretty girl."
I hit him on the shoulder, feeling so much better than I had in a long time. It was really strange because I barely even knew Sin but it feels like I've known him a lot longer, and he just gives me a happy feeling. Which is something I need to stay away from, I do not deserve to feel like this.
"So can you show me around the campus?" He asked still smirking at me; I blushed slightly, turning away.
"Uh, yeah- wait, you're new here?" I asked, staring at my feet, trying to control my facial expressions.
"Yup, I actually just moved into the apartment yesterday." Duh. I can't believe I hadn't noticed that before.
"Oh okay then, yeah I'll show you around, it's not too big," I mumbled trying to find a reason to have transferred in the middle of the year. I was pretty sure it wasn't allowed. I think.
We fell into silence, not that bad kind, but the good kind, where it's a friendly, comforting silence. Once we got to campus I showed him around quickly, making sure the cafe was last on our little tour.
"...and this is where I get my coffee from everyday. Which reminds me, you still owe me one," I said slyly, smirking at him.
"Right I'll get you one no-" Sin was then cut off by Willow, who looked furious.
"Rydia! I've been waiting for like thirty minutes! Can you be any slower?" She asked, but changing her posture from angry to relaxed when she saw Sin. "Oh, sorry, I'm just gonna be… over here."
"Okay. Sin that's my best friend Willow, and that's her boyfriend Rick over there," I said, pointing over at the tall, blonde haired everyday American kid in the corner, sitting next to Willow. "Next to him are Willow, then Lance, and Nikki."
"Cool, now I know more than two people here.
With that he bought me a coffee and we joined my friends, getting to know Sin. We learned that he was from England and he had 'connections' to be able to get here. His favorite color is blue, and he absolutely hates cake and soda. Odd. When we split up I headed off to the English wing, with Willow in tow, asking me all sorts of questions.
"Looks like we also have class together," Sin said creeping up behind me.
