Megan
"Desean get back here young man!" I called out. He came back with a grin plastered on his face and he still didn't have his shirt on.
"Go and finish dressing D." I stressed checking the time because he was almost late for pre-school. Rushing back to his room he came out again in a green Hulk shirt.
"Good now let's go." I said taking his bag and lunchbox with me. Devon, his father honked his horn impatiently. Desean grabbed his stuff and got into the car next to his father.
"Bye honey." I kissed my husband's cheek and he smiled.
"Bye babe. D say bye to mommy."
"Bye mommy." Desean said waving his small hand. I waved back and watched as Devon pulled out of the driveway. My phone rang indicating a message so I took it out of my pocket and looked at the screen. It was from Lexi, my crazy ass bestfriend.
L: You coming over to Maine City?
Me: That's an hour away Lex but yeah sure, what time?
L: Around seven, just wanna talk to you.
Me: Okay but Maine City is a big ass place where should I meet you?
L: At News cafe!
Me: See you later.
I put my phone back in my pocket. Today is going to be a long day.
For lunch I was making noddles for Desean and I. He came into the kitchen with his homework.
"Mum I got homework." He said as I sat the pot of water on the stove to boil.
"What is it?" I asked
"It's about animals. What's a giraffe?" I smiled thinking of a simpler way to say it. Breaking the noodles in half I put them in the pot.
"It's an animal that is very tall and has a long neck, you know to reach for the food up trees and stuff."
"Oh." Half an hour later, I was setting the table for the meal. Desean and I ate our food and also talked about his day at school. Afterwards we both washed up and Desean proceeded to go next door to play with his friend Trey. Devon returned home three hours later from work just as I was ready to go out. I grabbed my jacket and when Devon walked into the house, I passed him quickly.
"Hie honey! Supper in the microwave! Desean is at Trey's and I'll be back in soon, love you babe!" I called over my shoulder, getting into my car. Devon looked confused and said "What?" as I reversed out of the driveway.
"Hey girl!" Lexi hollered me over to her table.
"Hey Lex." I muttered.
"Girl you look like the walking dead."
"Blame it on motherhood." I sighed.
"Ohhh how is Desean and his fine daddy Devon." Lexi said with her eyebrows raised.
"They're okay. Desean is like four now."
"Cuteness." Lexi said smiling but her jaw dropped as he gazed at something behind me. I looked back spotting three good looking guys. The one in the middle looked familiar. He was tall, tanned skin and slightly muscular. They sat down on the table next to us.
"Fine ass boys." Lexi said under her breath. For a twenty four old Lexi changed men like underwear.
Jaden
"Im so hungry." Mateo mumbled looking through the menu. We had decided to take a break from Willow and my parents. Will was trying to persuade to move here. He even has this house he wants me check out before Charlize's birthday. I mean Maine City is a decent place and it's close to my parents and very far away from Justin but I don't think Charlize wants to leave LA.
"I want this chicken sandwich thing." Moises stated placing the menu down. He looked over at the table next to us and grinned. Two girls sat there enjoying their conversation and teas.
"Well I'll be damned. They're hot." Mateo blatantly stated. He nudged me and looked at him flashing my left hand. He scoffed and mumbled something incoherent. A waitress came over to our table with a notepad and a pencil.
"Can I take your order?" She said.
"I'll just have a chicken sandwich with a coke please." Moises said and Mateo ordered the same. I just ordered some iced tea and once she had our orders down she left.
"Ladies." Mateo said grabbing the attention of the two ladies. Moises and I rolled our eyes because he was looking to get laid again.
"Im Mateo."
"Im Lexi and this here is Megan." The blonde one spoke pointing to her dark haired friend.
"Would you care to join us?" Mateo asked rubbing his hands together. The girls shrugged and came to our table. Lexi sat next to me and Megan sat next to Mateo.
"You're Jaden Smith right?" Lexi asked clearly excited. I nodded and she squealed.
"Oh wow your dad is like the richest man in Florida."
"No kidding." I mumbled and for a brief second I met Megan's gaze. Mateo and Moises broke out into a Spanish war of words but it soon stopped when Willow walked into the cafe. Oh God.
"I've been looking for yall asses everywhere! You think you can hide from me well you got another thing coming." She grabbed me by the collar and yanked me up, "I saw the house dad wants you to buy for Charlize's birthday. Jaden it's a damn mansion and I actually want your dumbass to get it." She went on.
My ear was ringing maybe because I was dying of embarassment. Moises and Mateo were laughing it off until Willow snapped at them and ordered for all of us to get to the van outside. She herded us like sheep and she mumbled a couple of words about the girls we were with.
"I swear Lexi was feeling me." Mateo said earning a smack from Willow on his head.
"We're planning a party for Liz. Soooo Im just gonna say it one more time. You need to get that house Jaden. Charlize will love you forever I promise and I miss living here." Willow said. I groaned and looked out the window.
"I'll think about it."
