Charlize

"Happy birthday!" Jaden came into the kitchen holding a cupcake that had a single candle on it. Blushing, I took the cupcake and kissed him.

"Thanks babe."

"How old are you now like 40?" He said and I scoffed.

"Oh please I'm 23 grandpa." I pushed him away and he chuckled before kissing my cheek.

"I have a suprise for you Lizzie." He said taking an apple from the fruit bowl and biting into it.

"Oh really? If it's about Mateo and Willow dating I already know." Jaden choked on his apple and I patted his back a little.

"What the hell? No it's something else but we have to fly there." I furrowed my eyebrows and thought about it.

"Mhm."

"If I were you I would go pack a few things."

Jaden

We had finally arrived to the beach house in Florida after flying for hours. I helped Charlize out of the van because she was half asleep and needed support.

"Wifey!" Mateo's loud ass came running and scooped Charlize up, embracing her in a hug. I rolled my eyes when Moises pushed me aside to go and greet Charlize.

"Damn mami you look fine as hell." He said and Charlize just shrugged saying it was the birthday glow. I had a lot planned for the next two days. Tonight there's a party we arranged at Pabloz in Maine City and tomorrow there's a dinner for Charlize's friends and family. This is gonna be great.

"So when are you going to tell her?" Willow asked sitting down next to me on the couch.

"After the party I guess." I was nervous as hell about everything and I don't know why Willow was dressed in a short, tight blue dress. She looked great in the dress though. Mateo and I wore matching black jeans, black V necks and white Nikes.

"It will probably end late Jaden and she'll be tired." Willow said scanning my outfit. I couldn't help but ask if she was sleeping with Mateo but she smacked me in the head and told me to mind my own business.

"She's coming." Moises as he descended down the stairs. Willow and I stood up waiting for her to come. Willow gasped as she came into view. She was wearing a red, strapless dress that latched onto her curves. Her hair was down and it flowed around her shoulders in beautiful curls. I gawked at her and thought I was drooling. She came down the stairs and flashed a smile twirling around for us to get a good look.

"Gorgeous." Willow said taking the words out of my mouth. Charlize blushed slightly and returned the compliment. I didn't know what to say so I remained quiet and just stared at her.

"Well let's get going then." Willow said breaking me out of my trance.

Charlize

"This is amazing Jay!" I had to scream over the sound of the loud music. The club was hype and everyone was hitting the floor and having fun.

"No problem, anything for my princess! But lemme go to the bathroom real quick!" He yelled vanishing to the bathroom. Mateo and Willow were in their own corner, dancing up a storm and Moises was flirting with a bunch of girls at a table. I made my way to the bar and a few people said happy birthday to me as I passed them. I took a seat and smiled at myself.

"What would you like ma'am?" The bartender asked.

"Um a cherry bliss please." He nodded and got right to it. I looked around hoping to spot Jaden or any familiar face but I didn't recognise anyone besides Moi, Teo and Willow.

"Three shots man."

"Coming right up." The bartender said. I looked sideways at the man who ordered the shots. My heart stopped in place as I remembered his more than beautiful features. I looked back down trying not to bring attention to myself. I felt his gaze burn holes through me.

"Charlize?" The way my name rolled off his tongue was just.....I raised my head and I swear his curls made him look even more irresistable

"Hey." I waved.

"Remember me?" He asked raising his thick eyebrow. Jesus help me.

"Yeah of course. How could I forget you Jacob." I tried laughing off the nervous feeling I was getting from the pit of my stomach. He smiled flashing his perfect teeth.

"For a moment I thought you had forgotten me." He sat down closer to me and I almost died smelling his perfume. The bartender slid the drink to me and I thanked him taking a sip. It burned down my throat and hit the spot.

"So what are you here for?"

"Don't you remember?" I asked and looked at Jacob.

"Damn, I totally forgot. Happy birthday Charlize."

"Thanks."

"Twenty three now huh. I turned twenty five a while back." The bartender gave Jacob his alcohol and he drank them all in one go. I then noted his black suit that was just right on him.

"What's up these days?" I asked.

"Lawyer." He winked and I remember in highschool when we used to go out he was obsessed with becoming a lawyer one day. A slow song by the Weeknd came on and everyone calmed down, going into a slow dance.

"May I have this dance." He got off his seat and held out his hand. I took his hand and he led me into the dancefloor.

"I'll go easy on you." He whispered into my ear as he pulled me closer by my waist. I put my hands around his neck and he kept his wrapped around my waist. Jacob rocked us side to side slowly and whispered in my ear.

"Remember when I used to sneak into your room and dance with you?"

"Yea. Then my dad caught you this one time and you almost ran out through the window."

"He could've killed me that man." He placed his lips closer to my ear.

"I've missed you so much Char."

"Me too Jake." I said honestly. Someone cleared their throat me and I froze. Jacob scoffed and slowly let go of me. I turned around and came face to face with Jaden. Oh boy.

"Long time old boy." Jacob said with a smirk evident on his face. Jaden snarled and took my hand pulling me closer to him.

"Fuck off Perez." Jacob smiled and looked at me.

"By the way Char, you look amazing in that dress." Jacob winked and disappeared into the mass of people. I looked at Jaden who frowned at me.

"What the hell were you doing!" Clearly Jaden was pissed off.

"Just dancing with an old friend."

"More like your ex fucking boyfriend!"

"Don't scream at me. I did nothing wrong honestly." I pulled my hand away from his and stormed off to the ladies bathroom. I got into one of the stalls and sighed. Someone knocked on it after a good two minutes.

"Occupied."

"It's Jacob."
