Everyone has their insecurities, they don't want any dirt touching them, always applying alcohol, and other self maintenance.
Well, Shane is the "over concerned" person on all of them, he always has a section for all of his alcohol, towels, and other stuff. I don't blame him on being an over concerned person, it is his life, he wants to be more active but at the same time, he wants to be clean, neat looking afterwards.
Most of his classmates call him "gay" because of his too much carefulness, he won't touch any of his classmate's hands if he won't apply a small amount of alcohol. On his side, he is not offended, it is not that he accepts that he is a gay, but he accepts that he is very careful.
He showed concern to his classmates when they came to his house, when they're about to leave, the rain started to fall. His first action is to let them stay for a bit to let the rain pass, but then he eventually let them leave with safety, of course, duhhh...
Shane is very concerned for his classmates that he saved one of his classmate's life, when they were going to go across the road, he said that they'll walk on the pedestrian lane. When one of his classmates tried to walk across, he dragged him because a truck was going by and he didn't saw it.
So, it looks like Shane is one of the Good Side.
