Chapter 1: We Meet Again

It was a yet another harsh day in Suna. Most villagers scrambled into their homes to escape the scorching hot rays of the sun. Even though the Sand was known for their amazingly strong ninjas everyone has their weaknesses and limits. Even the Kazekage himself. Among all the Kage this little red headed one was the youngest. He was well known for his status and his past.
"Temari !!!!! Get me a water bottle" Kankuro yelled from downstairs. The sand siblings were spending their day in the Kazekage tower. They were the 3 strongest nin in Suna. And since no one wanted to come they were stuck with all the work. "Get it your dam self" She responded quick and harsh. This was not Temari's day. Temari was scheduled to leave Suna to go to The Leaf village but obviously her vacation was canceled due to work.
"Well some ones cranky" the puppet master said with a mocking tone to piss off his sister. He also had plans to leave to the Leaf and was upset about it. But he didn't dare to show the slightest hint of it. He simply refused to as it would jeopardize his status in Suna. While Temari and Kankuro was arguing loudly the Kazekage sat tall and proud at his desk. His people needed him and he was not planning to let them down just because of the temperature inclination(urge) to overthrow him.
It was about sundown when he sat up. His dominate hand was screaming in agony from his nonstop work but that was not the reason he came to a hault. He had a meeting to attend to in 3 days and he wanted to go alone. His stotic face scanned the area outside the window. Marsuri was fastly approaching his office. Gaara knew if Masuri catches him he will be late due from her worrying. He did not need pitty and was getting annoyed by Masuri's attempts to flirt.
The young Kazekage removed his ropes to reveal his battle clothes he used in the Second Great Ninja war with The leaf aiding Suna. His gourd dismantled to sand swishing its way to Gaara. Once behind Gaara it started to reform its usual appearance as a gourd. Gaara swiftly jumped out the window only to disappear to sand as the wind blew it away.
Just at that moment Baki came bursting through the office doors. "And there goes Gaara" Baki said with a sigh. "Gone without a trace, as expected as our Leader" he mumbled. He closed the door while thinking of a way to tell Temari about her younger brothers absence. He is going to need the heavens help to tell her this without feeling her fans rage.
While Baki was walking downstairs The Kazekage's anbu bodyguards was already on Gaara's tail. They are something Gaara himself can't get rid of. As long as they stay hidden and far Gaara didn't mind.
It was approaching his 3rd day traveling. He didn't stop for nothing since he did not need sleep. But his anbu gaurds were a different story. Their chakra were running low so the Kazekage decided to stop for their health. They have been loyal to him for as long as he could remember, they truly earned a break. They will continue in 4 hours so for now they can rest. While the anbu gaurds were resting Gaara decided to carfully scan the perimeter for anyone lurking under radar.
After a hour or two he headed back to camp when he saw a green blurr. At first he thought it was a random floating Leaf so he proceeded without much cation. Thats when he sensed the unique chakra signature. He was positive about it. It was no one other than the beautiful green beast of Kohona 'Rock Lee'. The first person to not only to get past Gaara's ultimate defense but the only one to escape Gaara alive,.... 2 times !
He squinted his eye to ajust to the light of the open field. But he remained hidden under the trees shadows to observe. Gaara looked at the battle before him. His chakra was at its lowest so they cannot sense him. With this he can observe the battle without being disturbed. His light Aqua eyes tracked Lee's every movement. Gaara's ninja instincts then began to process the situation. From the looks of it Lee was in a team that was ambushed. The others were most likely killed from the tears in Lee's eyes. The kazekage squinted a little more to make out what Lee was carrying.
Gaara's eyes widened a little at his discovery. Lee currently had a very precious scroll that Gaara was sent out to get. Thats when his eyes wondered to the opposing ninjas. He recognized all of them. They were in the jounin Bingo book. This is bad.
'A ninja like Lee can't possibly handle ninja like them' Gaara thought. He was about to step out of his cover when Lee's chakra caught him off gaurd. Wait, Lee was opening the 2nd gate. This made Gaara smirk deviously. Lets see how much this ninja improved since their last battle.
