Oposites Attract

Chapter 3: Getting Closer

     Lee followed Gaara like a shadow yet he couldn't help but notice Gaara's dissatisfying face plundering at something. Lee's large eyebrows curled downwards towards his eyes. He felt his heart plumet at the sight of the other males expression. 'Most will not care what Gaara-kun is going through," Lee thought discouraged. 'But i am different from them' he finshed with a fist pump in the air. His right hand skeetered towards Gaara's right shoulder feeling a benevolence grow and flow inside of his veins.

Gaara's point of veiw:
After Gaara lifted his hand to tell the anbu gaurds farewell he stormed through the village thinking 'How dare that imbecile just send someone as benign as Lee-san to a mission like that !'. But short after, the sound of his rattling sand awoke him from his thoughts. Gaara's eyes fluttered in confusion as he shot his head back only to see a very startled Lee with his sand plugging the cork back in place. His and Lee's eyes met in an intense glaze. Gaara was searching for the slightest hint of fear or horror in the dark chocolate whirlpools. Truthfully he found curiosity despite Lee's experience with his ultimate defense long ago.
     In all honesty Gaara was a tiny bit disappointed that he didn't get to feel the touch. Not that he could really feel it due to his thick sand armor, but he thrived for human interaction. His own siblings didn't even touch him except on rare special occasions. Gaara glanced at Lee's lips turning into a genuine smile. He looked at the green beast warily to confirm its sanity. Untill he remembered Lee would glare at death itself and still give his best smile.
     "Gaara-kun is there something wrong ?" Lee bluntly stated before putting on a blush. "I-I mean Kazekage-sama sorry" Lee stuttered as he bowed nervously. He didn't know what came over him. Surely Gaara wanted to be treated with dignity and respect for he is his superior. This caused the young Kage to stop right in his tracks. Gaara was having trouble fighting back a furious blush coming it's way.
      He turned his full body towards Lee catching the green beasts attention. Gaara cleared his throat before saying " Please no formality, you had no trouble adding a 'Kun' to my name before. It's ok to call me that" in his normal gentle voice. Lee stood up with his chest up high and his eyes glistening. "R-Really i can call you that ?!" the tai-justu specialist beamed. "Hn" Gaara responded approving the request. The green beast took one clumsy step foward to strike a 'Good Guy' pose still a little excited. His next step tripped over his first one causing him to tumble over and knocked into the other male.
      Gaara prepared for the horrible pain in his head to come when making contact to the ground. His sand rushed out the gourd and quickly caught its master with Lee,  both landing safely. Lee opened his mouth to apologize to the young leader but his mouth clamped shut at his sight. The green beast was currently hovering above Gaara with hands to the sides of the leaders head and knees between Gaara's waist. Gaara arms were behind him supporting his weight as his back was slightly arched over the sand covered ground. Lee's cheeks turned into a bright blush as the sand retreated to its appropriate container. He tried to think of something to say but his mind just collapsed as he met Gaara's glaze.
         Lee sought himself in a trance with Gaara's Aqua eyes thinking how much they resembled the true picture of youth. Gaara eye's were tracking Lee's every movement still incapable to fully comprehend the now fluttering feeling that was going on in his stomach once again. The sand in Gaara's gourd gave a fair warning to Lee but little did Lee notice as he moved closer to the younger man infront of him. "Gaara-kun" Lee whispered lowering his head to the younger males ears in a gentle tone and continued "Can I try Something ?". The green beast tilted his head to the side to cacth a glimpse of the red headed boys expression.
       Gaara was no longer being stotic but was blushing a bit with a innocent look in his eyes. His expression told Lee he was a bit confused about this and wanted to see where this was heading. Before he knew it a bandage hand was caressing his red stained cheek. Both males could only hear their own heartbeats. Both were so lost in the moment they cancelled out everything around them. This was a intense moment. As soon as Lee went in to try to close the gap Gaara leaned in tilting his head to the side. The young Leaders  body moved on its own impulses. Lee stopped moving in 3 centimeters away from Gaara's lips.
      He could feel Gaara's increased heartbeat affect his breathing. Gaara's tempting hot breath was on Lee's lips just moments away from being taken. The Kazekage went with his instincts and slowly closed his eyes when Lee did so too. The atmosphere was in a perfect setting. The sun was resting in the horizon and the wind was giving gentle breezes here and there. Both males leaned in untill they heard a very angry shout, causing them to jump away fast. They looked at eachother blushes still burning bright while jumping to their feet.
    " Lee-san  !!!!!" a pink haired girl yelled, veins poping out her forehead. "How long do you plan to keep me waiting ?!" She asked sarcastically. "S-Sakura- chan Gomen Gomen " Lee bowed. 'Ugg she ruined the most perfect moment' inner Lee groaned. 'Wait why am i thinking this?' the inner voiced asked. "Well its ok I've reliezed how inappropriate i had acted just by being rejected. I have to go to the Hokage tower so Farewell I hope 'he' feels the same way about you Lee-san Good Luck!!" Sakura said before walking off in a hurry.
     Which left Lee in shock. How can she possibly know who he is striving for let alone know that its a boy ? 'Is it that obvious?' Lee thought panicking untill Gaara turned towards him. The Tai-jutsu specialist pouted on the inside because Gaara's blush was quickly replaced by his usual stotic face. "Well I have to go rent a hotel room now" Gaara stated bluntly while turning to take his leave. Before he walked away he was stopped by Lee's voice. "Gaara-kun wait, umm w-would you like to say over at my house ? It will benefit both of us" The green beast stated trying to spend more time with the redhead.
      Gaara stayed emotionless still deciding weather or not he should and Lee was praying he will say yes.  "Hn" was the sound that made Lee to say a "Yosh" loudly. The green beast guided Gaara throughout the village. The young Kazekage scanned the area around him. He has never went to this part of Kohana for the sole purpose of he was ordered to avoid this place at any cost. Not so much as ordered but adviced not to by the Hokage herself. This neighborhood was less friendly than the rest of Kohona. More like a red district and a prison at the same time.
       Hookers, theifs, if you can name them, they were there. Gaara glanced at Lee just walking causally in such a place. Of course this area didn't really bothered him but it should not be a place Lee should be in with his gullible attitude. When they turned the corner a random little boy bumped into Lee causing both of them to fall. While Lee was apologizing to the boy Gaara knew the boy just stole bushy brows wallet. The Kazekage was going to open his mouth to say something when the young boy was turned to take his leave, Lee secretly took back his wallet without the boy knowing.
      "Hehehe the oldest trick in the book if you ask me" Lee chuckled towards Gaara and kept walking. That was untill a older man came into veiw. His chakra seemed a little bit too suspicious to be an ordinary villager so Gaara assumed the worst and got his sand ready. "Heeeey baby, what do we got here?" the strange man said backing Lee to the wall. "Why do you always denie my invitation sweetcakes ? You know how good i am in bed." he continued with a wicked smile similar to a maniacs. Lee looked really uncomfortable around him. "How bout this cutie joins us too" he said looking towards Gaara.
     "Hello Finn, im sorry but neither of us are interested in that" Lee said a little uneasy. "Awwwe such a shame someone with a tight ass like yours isn't serving us" Fin viciously said while snapping his fingers. 3 other big men came out the alley way with worst smiles. "Change your mind yet?" Finn stated wrapping his filthy arms around Lee's waist. "Let him go" Gaara said with his usual monotone voice. "Wait your turn bitch" He responded harshly. The other 3 men came over to manhandle Gaara to keep his mouth shut. As soon as they came to a 15 meter radius his sand poured out at a dangerously slow rate.
       Gaara's eyes turned into narrow slits with an awakening smile. "Now its time for a Blood bath". Lee's insticts told him to run as far as possible from the Kazekage. He knew that look far too well For his own good. Finn turned around to inspect what caused Lee's struggle to stop only to stare death in its face. "I-ITS GAARA OF THE DESSERT R-RUN !!!" Finn screamed as his face paled. The men scattered around finding an escape route and bailing. Which left Lee speechless. The comprehension of his mind was still puzzling.
     That was untill Gaara snapped him out of his thoughts with his glare. It was both powerful and beautiful, but angered enough to make a man run to the hills in his opinion. The green beast tilted his head a little befuddled by the situation. In a flash the glare was gone and he was back to his stotic self makinge Lee feel a bit uneasy once again only for a different reason. Lee decided its best to just keep his mouth shut. Gaara motioned his fingers towards Lee to continue guiding him.
"Well, shall we keep going... Lee-kun" Gaara said as he  faced the other way so Lee wouldn't see his tiny smirk he couldn't hide. This made Lee's whole face turn the color of Gaara's hair. "D-Did you just called me...Lee-kun ?!?!"
