39 - Snow's Tragedy

Graham stood in Granny's Diner throwing darts at a dart board with a deer on it.
"Nice shot, chief." said Sidney who sat near by. "I bet you twenty bucks you can't do it again."
Ruby walked over to Graham with a shot. Graham drunk the shot quickly and took another dart. He aimed and threw the dart straight at the deer nose.
"Next rounds on him." he said to Ruby.
Emma walked around the corner and stepped in front of him as he was about to throw another dart.
"Emma, what can I get you?" asked Ruby.
"Nothing." she walked straight past Graham towards the door.
Graham quickly turned around and threw the dart towards Emma. The dart went into the door frame.
She looked around at Graham. "What the hell? You could have hit me!"
"I never miss." he shrugged and walked past Sidney who held up a twenty dollar bill.
"You've been avoiding me? Since last night when you saw me........"
He started.
"Leaving the Mayor? And, yes, that is a euphemism. I'm not avoiding you, Graham. I just have no interest in having this conversation. It's your life and I really don't care." she turned and stepped outside.
"If you don't care, then why are you so upset?" asked Graham following her outside into the dark streets.
"I'm not upset."
"I'd that were true you'd be at the bar with me having a drink and not running away." he shouted after her as she walked quickly down the street. He ran in front of her.
"It's none of my business. Really." she pushed pass him and continued walking.
"Can we please talk about this? I need you to understand."
"Why?"
"I don't know...... Maybe so I can understand."
"You need analysis, go talk to Archie." she gestured down the street.
"I want to talk to you."
"Your bad judgement is your problem, not mine."
"You don't know what it's like with her. I don't feel anything. Can you understand that?" he said still following her through the town.
"A bad relationship? Yeah. I understand a bad relationship. I just don't wanna talk about yours."
"Look, I know you and Regina have your own issues, and I should've told you about that before you took the job."
"Yeah, why the secrecy?" she stopped and stood with him in the street. "We're all adults. You can do whatever you want."
"Because I didn't want you to look at me the way you are now."
"Why do you care how I look at you?"
"Because..........."
"What?"
Graham quickly leaned forward and took her face in her hands and kissed her. The moment their lips touched Graham's eyes grew wide in shock.
In his mind he saw a white wolf with one red eye and a grey one in a forest, growling.
Emma pushed him away in disgust. "What the hell was that?" she shouted at him.
"Did you see that?"
"How much have you been drinking? That was way over the line!"
"I'm sorry, I just.........."
"What? You what?" she shouted.
"I need to feel something."
"Listen to me, Graham. You are drunk and full of regret. I get it. But whatever it is you are looking to feel, I can tell you one thing, you're not getting it with me." she turned away and walked quickly away from her.

Graham slammed his fists on the door of the Mayors house.
The lights in the house turned on quickly and Regina opened the door.
"Graham." she said surprised.
"Is Henry asleep?" Graham asked.
"Yes, why?"
Graham stepped into the house and took Regina's face in his hands and kissed her, pushing her back against the wall.
She pushed him away a little, stared at him for a moment and they continued. She slammed the door shut and Graham moved his lips down her neck.

The evil queen looked down from her balcony at a pure white coffin with red rose petals on it in her castle. She watched as a figure in black walked towards it.
The figure in black was Snow. Tears rushed down her cheeks as she placed a single white rose on the coffin.
"Goodbye, Father." she cryed.
She heard footsteps behind her and turned to see the queen walk towards her.
"I'm so sorry, Snow." she took her hands.
"I loved him so much." she rested her head on the queens shoulder as she sobbed.
"So did I, dear. So did I."
Snow broke away from her.
"But the loss I feel for my husband must be nothing compared to the loss you feel for tour father........ If there is anything I could do, please let me know............... I may only be your mother through marriage, but I am hear for you, dear." a tear rolled down her cheek. "Truly and forever."
She put her arms around her again.
