David walked alone through the dark streets of Storybrooke. Then from around the corner Mary Margaret walked behind him.
"Mary Margaret." said David turning when he heard her footsteps.
She continued walking, ignoring him.
"Please wait. Look, I'll leave if you want." he said, following her as she walked quickly down the path.
"I...I just think we need to talk."
"So talk." she said, walking on.
"I need to apologise."
"Yes, you do........ Keep going."
"I didn't believe you. I didn't stand with you." he walked behind her.
She stopped when shereached her car and turned around to David. "You know, I will never forget that moment....... The moment the world sort of blows you backwards and the one person you thought would always be there to catch you.....he isn't there."
"Look at what was going on. It wad your jewellery box, your fingerprints, knife in your apartment."
"I was a setup." she said loudly.
"And a really good one........ I'm human...... I fell for it."
She closed her eyes for a moment.
"I'm sorry, but we have to move forward."
"But we can't." She shook her head. "It's like something in this world doesn't want us together."
"Like what? Dark forces?"
"Maybe...... I don't know. But it's like something just keeps pouring......poison between us, and what I don't want is to have all of those good memories.......replaced by moments like that. When I looked at you, and I saw that you didn't believe me."
"No, I know. I'm so sorry."
"I know." she sighed at looked from the ground to him again. "I know."
"But I love you." he said quitely.
She closed her eyes. "And that....... is what makes it all so sad." her voice became hoarse and tears filled in her eyes.
Tears rowled down David's, rough cheeks and he brushed them away.

Rumplestiltskin spun on his spining wheel in their house lit up by a single candle.
Suddenly the door opened and Bae ran inside. "Papa!" he shut the door and ran over to him, sitting on a stool opposite him. "Papa! I found it. I.....I found a way for things to be like they were. I want you to come with me. I can make things right."
He just continued to spin on the wheel as he spoke, staring at it, ignoring his words.
"Have you heard of Reul Ghorm?"
He looked around at him. "Blue Star." he leaned forward. "The Blue Fairy. Oh, son, please tell me you didn't. Fairy magic doesn't mix well with what I am."
"But you promised. She can help us. To take us to a place without magic."
"A place without magic?" he exclaimed and got to his feet. "I'd be powerless..... Weak."
"Like everyone else. It wouldn't matter. We'd be happy."
"We could be happy here."
"Father, please. You're getting worse. And you promised. This can work. It can." he stood up. "You made a deal with me....... Are you backing out?"
He thought for a moment and looked around, nervously. He hesitated. "No." he said after a moment.

Mr. Gold hesitated before Archie's office before knocking, then changing his mind he walked away down the hall, but stopped as the door opened. Archie looked around down the hall at his back.
"Mr. Gold. Are you here for the rent?"
"Why does everyone ask that?" he said, turning to Archie.
"Well, because you......... Never mind." he stepped into the hall to face Mr. Gold. "Would you...... Would you like to talk?"
He shrugged. "I don't know."
"Well, umm, if you'd like to get something off your chest......please come in."
He limped on his walking stick towards the door.

"A son!" said Archie, sitting opposite Mr. Gold in his office, taking notes. "Wow...I...I didn't know you had a son. How..... How old is he?"
"Let's start with something easier."
"Okay." he said, confused. "What do you mean to say that you may have found him?"
"Let's just sat there's someone acting the way I would expect him to act."
"So... So you recognise him?"
"Maybe. Or perhaps I'm just seeing what at I want to see. I don't know."
"Okay. Well, I mean, wouldn't he recognise you?"
"There was conflict. I'm not sure he's ready for a tear-soaked reunion."
"So he sought you out and he's hanging back. Maybe he's watching to see if he's welcome, looking for a sigh that all is forgiven."
"No, no, no, he's not the one who needs to be........." he thought of the right words.
Archie tilted his head a little, confused.
"........I think he might be still very angry."
He nodded and leaned forward. "Anger between a parent and a child is the most natural thing in the world."
"I think he might be here to try to kill me."
Archie's jaw dropped a little. "Ahhh...... Right...... That.... That's not......"
"I let him go............." he looked down before him, thoughts streaming through his head. "......I've spent my entire life since trying to fix it. And now he's finally here........ I just don't know what to do."
"Be honest." he said after a moment. "Just tell him what you told me, and ask for forgiveness." "Honesty's never been the best colour on me."
"There's no other way."

August stood in the moonlight, by cabin in the woods, alone. Kicking a log by the misty, moonlit lake.
Mr. Gold limped on his walking stick in his direction, through the misty moonlight, by the trees.
August heard him silent footsteps and looked up.
When he reached him, he stopped, leaning on his walking stick. "I know who you are."
He stepped closer to him.
"And I know what your looking for."
"Well, then........I guess all the lying can stop.........Papa."

******************************

Bae and Rumplestiltskin walked through the dark, moonlit forest.
"Where are we going, boy?" he asked Bae. "What kind of world is this we're going to? What kind of world is without magic?"
Bae pulled the magic bean from his pocket and stopped, turning to face his father. "A better one." he held up the pearl coloured, magic bean. He then threw it to the earthen ground before them. It hit the ground with a little thud and lay there in the midst of the leaves and dirt. Bae stepped a little closer, disappointment growing on him until the bean began to sparkle and shimmer in the darkness. Then it shook and spun into swerling, green magic.
Rumplestiltskin stepped closer looking closer at it. He grasped Bae's hand as the wind grew strong and spun around and around them, distructing the peaceful canopies of trees and as the green, swerling magic grew into a giant hole, a portal.
"My gods, boy. It's like a tornado!" he pulled him back.
"We have to go through it."
"No, no! I don't think I can!" he panicked, stepping back.
Bae refused to move. "We must. It's the only way." he grasped his arm, stepping closer.
"No, no, no, no, no!" he shouted over the gushing of the wind. "It's a trick! It will tear us apart!"
"It's not. It will be okay. I promise." he pulled him closer to the portal.
Then suddenly, the earthen ground beneath Bae crumbled into the portal and he fell into the hole, grasping his father's hand for dear life. "Papa!"
Rumplestiltskin fell to the ground, grasping his arm with all his strength, holding him up above the hole.
"We have to go through!" shouted Bae.
He took the dagger from his cloak quickly and thrust the tip of the wavy blade into the earthen ground to hold him up.
"What are you doing?" he shouted. "Papa, it won't stay open long! Let's go!" he cryed hanging above it.
"I can't! I can't!"
"Papa, please! It's the only way we can be together!"
"No, Bae, I can't!"
"Papa, please!"
"I can't!"
"You coward! You promised! Don't break our deal!" he cryed over the thundering wind.
"I have to!" Then he lost his grip on Bae's, small, pale hand, that gasped his dirty, dark one for life and his precious son fell, tumbled down the earthen hole and into the green portal.
"Papa!" he screamed fearfully and he tumbled through the green portal to the unknown and it shut quickly, it's green light, lighting up the darkened forest gone.
Rumplestiltskin felt a ringing sound in his ears as the harsh, gushing winds calmed. He panted heavily, fear in his eyes, as they stared down at the earthen hole, still grasping his wavy, precious dagger that was thrust into the ground for his dear life.
"Bae!" he looked down fearfully. "Bae!" he shouted pleadingly. Then he tumbled into the hole, leaving his dagger in the ground, scouring the dirt with his hands, that were still warm from his son's last touch. "No, no, no, no, no! No, no Bae!" he cryed. "I'm sorry, Bae! I want to come with you!" he scraped the earthen ground with his hands like a helpless dog desiring a bone. "I want to come with you, Bae! I want to come with you! Bae! Bae! Bae!" he cryed, still digging as though it would reunite him with his beloved son.
